À visiter avant d’aller au château - une belle halte

Très bel endroit adossé au sénat. Le jardin est très bien entretenu avec un bassin bucolique. Deux paons sont en liberté dont 1 albinos.
Endroit reposant avant d’attaquer la montée vers le château. Facile d’accès près des arrêts des tramways. C’est gratuit.

Beautiful with live peacocks a big pond, nice gardens and statues. There is also a grotto and 5 of the biggest owls found in Czech Republic

Beautiful Place to relax and enjoy while in the Prague Castle area

Our tour guide, after a longer morning touring around the Prague Castle, took us off to the side to the Wallenstein Palace Gardens so that we could sit, relax and enjoy the surroundings. It was the perfect place to rechange our batteries…and based upon the number of locals enjoying their lunches there, obviously an exceptionally popular spot with the locals. The gardens were beautiful with wonderful water features and carved walls (to look like random carvings, but actually contain hidden images). And the gardens were exceptionally well maintained.

Worth the time

My favorite part of Wallenstein Palace Gardens is the Grotto Wall and the adjacent eagle owl aviary. I had been there before but wanted my wife to experience it as well. Unfortunately, it started to rain so this was all we were able to see. Our main purpose was achieved but it would have been nice to spend more time there.

De tuinen zijn gratis, maar zelfs als ze toegang zouden vragen mag je dit in geen geval overslaan : de perfect onderhouden tuinen zijn zo bekoorlijk dat je hier letterlijk moet gaan zitten om de schoonheid en de rust in je op te nemen.

One of the best-kept secrets in Prague, the gardens are a wonderful respite from the crowds, and a place to contemplate, read a book, or just walk and enjoy the peacocks, the koi in the pond, and if you're lucky you may even hear a concert in front of the senate building, which used to be part of the Wallenstein palace. You can wander about the gardens for hours. And all for free.

Absolutely wonderful. Lush, well-kept gardens with peacocks roaming throughout. Given the fact that I visited in summer, they were also surprisingly empty. Would highly recommend for travelers to Prague, particularly those visiting on a budget.

Well worth a visit. It has a lot of interesting statue. Another interesting and very unusual feature is the Dripstone Wall. It appears to be made up of haunting faces.
