This view of Lake Bled is amazing. The walk up there is very rough, because a lot of rocks, but the view makes it absolutely worth it. The view is the best of Bled. You see everything you want. The walk will take about 15 - 20 minutes, but it is rough time. Do not miss this!

After reading all the good reviews, I decided to take this steep but short (15-20 minutes) hike instead of the Bled Castle for the best view of the town. Kind of regret it.
Steep was underestimating this hike. In the last 5-10 minutes, it's basically climbing on rocks with a metal rope nailed on the side rocks as a hand rail. In my opinion, it can be dangerous after bad weather.
I heard that it was raining very hard the 2 weeks before my hike. The trail and rocks were slippery.
The view was nice, but I highly recommend checking the weather for the last few days before going. If there was rain, it's better not going.

This is a must visit place in Bled. The entrance to the trail has only a small sign but you should see enough people heading up. It’s an uphill trip and it gets steeper as you go higher. And there is a steep section with lots of loose small rocks. You need good shoes to walk through. And the last section is like climbing the rock stairs. You will be rewarded with spectacular view at the top. The island in the lake appears in front of you. You also see Bled castle and Julian alps in the back. Breath taking view. Although the hike was not easy, I saw small kids on the trail too. Definitely family friendly hike.

Take your time up this steep, rocky trail, with the reward being the best views of Lake Bled from a rocky outcrop. There is a steel cable the last 50’ or so, so hang on and be cautious with your footing. Spend some time and watch as the cloud shadows affect the colors of the lake. Bring some food and enjoy a picnic. Take your time going down, the rocks are slippery. Well marked by the campground.

Pad is wel moeilijk te belopen door al die keien en gladde ondergrond bij nat weer. Je moet dus goede wandelschoenen dragen.

Spontan haben wir uns entschieden diesen Ausblick genießen zu wollen. Der Weg ist sehr anspruchsvoll, steinig und steil. Nachdem es geregnet hat auch etwas rutschig. Festes Schuhwerk sollte man anziehen und wenn möglich auch eine Flasche Wasser dabeihaben. Der Aufstieg lohnt sich, sollte aber auch nicht unterschätzt werden. Mit Kinderwagen kommt man nicht nach oben. Im Sommer kann ich mir vorstellen, dass es oben auch sehr voll wird, da dort nicht viel Platz ist.

We took a quick detour here after visiting the island and it was well worth it, hiking for 20mins to the viewpoint and then only 10mins to return to the road. The view is incredible, with beautiful views of the lake, island, castle and Julian Alps - don't miss it!

Fantastic view. It's quite an uphill trip to get there, but well worth it. Wear study shoes. A guide we had for another activity told us that a number of people each summer need assistance due to injury after attempting to climb in casual sandals/flip flops. This is a hike up rocky terrain, be prepared.

difficult to find the trek to the viewpoint so we ended up switching to the mala osojnica track halfway! view from mala osojnica was nice though but a difficult climb. definitely recommend wearing sports/hiking shoes
