Absolute con!!
Went with my girlfriend and me. I paid 4,000 for entry as females are free. I was charged 6,000 forints per drink (2 x gin and tonic) and 12,000 total. I called out the bar staff, who initially discussed among one another, clearly debating how they could get away with it. They attempted to gaslight me by saying this is what I paid before. It was not. I then showed them their pan menu online, stating that a gin and tonic was 920 forint OR 1450 for Hendricks. They then collectively shouted at me and got us both kicked out. Be wary of you are not locals! And be prepared for abuse from the staff if you are not a mug and attempt to call them out on it.

Lovely ruin bar. Staff are wonderful, friendly and super helpful especially, Timi, Krisztian, Malvin. Brilliant staff and location. Drinks are spectacular.

Not great. Drink prices good but service staff awful, especially the one with the shaved head. When you have to pay entry you expect good service. DO NOT RECOMMEND

SUPER, bar extrêmement agréable de par sa cour intérieure et l’accueil chaleureux des serveurs (PS : la serveuse aux cheveux rasés est adorable!)
La bière est bonne et pas chère, et il y a un système de consigne des verres!
Il y a très souvent un DJ, qui passe de la super bonne musique, créant une ambiance très agréable et festive!! L’ambiance est plutôt calme en début de soirée (18h-23h) et devient plus festive après!
Nous recommandons très fortement d’y passer lors de votre séjour à Budapest!

El peor pub de Budapest con diferencia del segundo.
Me he sentido engañado y estafado.
Te obligan a pagar entrada para pasar dentro ( solo puedes pagar en efectivo, ya que no aceptan tarjeta) y una vez dentro no hay nadie y es un pub normal, de ruin pub no tiene nada, sólo la fachada externa.
Los gorilas que tienen de porteros a mi pareja le cachearon el bolso con malas maneras, y nos obligaron a dejar en la entrada una botella de agua pequeña que llevaba dentro.
Espero que esta reseña ayude a que cuando vuelva a Budapest este antro este cerrado.

Student bar!
Found this place on several must-do ruin bars lists so off we went. We’re 40 years old and quickly realised this was actually only a student bar. Literally everyone was 18-23 so we did feel a little old but no-one else cared. (Altho we do look much younger.)
The bouncers were very good checking everyone for covid passports (even locals) and no-one wears a mask.
Once thru the entrance (free) we were greeted by clouds of smoke and the usual club/pop remixes you find anywhere. Very cool music and a good vibe BUT the major let down was it felt like a disorganised student union bar where everyone was crowded round the 2 main bars even when they got their drinks no-one moved but instead stood around smoking and chatting/squealing. Not moving at all. We arrived after 11pm so maybe that hindered us.
Zero chance of us getting any drinks we left within 10 mins. Shame as we were up for a party.
The place itself looks mediocre with a huge metal bear/monkey (?) attached to a tree in the middle of the courtyard. Nothing special about this place so surprised it’s in the top 5 bar list!
Also, DO NOT dress up for any ruin bars. You’ll fit right in with a hoody, jeans and trainers. I wore mom jeans, platform sandals and a t-shirt and felt very comfortable.

Une arrivée aux alentours de 23h pour fêter ces 15h à l’aéroport de nos deux compagnons de fête.
Une beuverie pleine de bières, rempli jusqu’en haut.
Des verres rendus pour 300 forints (80 cts) pour une bière à 1,80 ÇA RÉGALE SA MÈRE.
Actuellement entrain de boire notre douznfbrieoz bières, nous adorons.
Une musique telle l’ambiance d’Amiens (on ne renie pas nos origines).
Mais des musiques hongroises loin d’une modernité telle la française.
Pour finir, une bière... ah non déjà dit.

Honestly the bar itself is a great location. But advertising a free entry for woman while men have to pay, Seriously this in the 21st century??
It is using woman as bait and objectifying them aswell as discriminating men.
Also did the bouncers only check me and my male friend while entering, and our female companions could go in without question.
It`s a shame, because the club itself looks great. But if you support equal rights, and respect yourself as a woman, do not go in there.

Honestly I would give this place zero stars if I could.
This was the worst club I have ever been to. We were greeted by two very unfriendly bouncers on the door and directed to the hostess. After showing her our tickets which we had obtained online earlier that day to be told they were “invalid” and with no explanation of why we would now have to pay to enter. Women were free and men had to pay 1000HUF (so only about £2.50, but seriously?! It’s 2020, can we forget about sexism now?).
After paying we entered a club that was DEAD at 1:30am, which explains why they were now charging people on the door as they clearly needed to make some money somehow. Now I don’t mind a quiet club as I can still have a great time dancing around without having to worry about crashing into anyone, but the atmosphere and music in this place was just terrible. I think I managed to stay in the venue for about 5 minutes before I couldn’t stand it anymore and made a beeline for the exit.
Please do not waste your time or money on this place.
