Driving into Ocean Shores makes you wish you'd never started the journey. It's a beach town that's probably never seen another beach town. It's depressing. First sight is a Dollar store, next is a strip mall effect showcasing old, worn, tired restaurants, beach souvenir stores, pet groomers, a lone gas station and equally lone grocery store. Prices are high, quality low. How many beach themed items do you need? It could be a fun place to visit if the City insisted on shops being kept up on a yearly basis or hire a designer to coordinate shops to look like some thought was put into making it attractive to visitors. So many other PNW Coastal towns manage to look inviting. OS resembles a town where hope dies.

Ocean shores sucks. Everything is run down and yet overpriced. Everyone trying to sell you 2 dollar bottles of water that SHOULD BE 30 cents. The dining options suck. The beach is littered with trash. Nobody maintains their businesses. When Shilo is one of the nicest hotel in town, you know you have issues. Save your money. I just blew over $1000 bucks in a couple of days and have no smile to show for it. The only exception to this is Quinalt beach (native american) resort where you get your money worth.

Don’t waste your time. We tried to get something to eat in town after going to five restaurants all of them telling us that they have no one to work that they need to close early. we ended up just going back to our room and eating chips. either they need to import people from somewhere else or pay the people they have a hell of a lot more money so they’ll stick around what the hell

You can actually drive onto the beach and park, rent bikes, kayaks and assortment of fun things. Lots of choices for food, gift shops, motels, parks, trails and we brought our dog.

This place needs restaurant service/quality (if the food is good the quality sucks, if the quality is good the food sucks), more vegan selection at places, sidewalks/parking at the beach entrances , coffee spots are slow as hell or have a sign for coffee but when you get to the window they say “we’re not a coffee spot”. Luckily we know someone with a house here but when I stayed at a hotel before it didn’t make me want to come back. Ocean shores is a beach town with little tourism appeal. Third time here and I don’t think I’ll be back unless we have four wheelers and jet skis because there is nothing here. Not even a solid meal or good cup of coffee apparently. The fog takes until late afternoon to clear and when it does it’s because the wind is kicking up sand every where.

Visited Ocean Shores during the week of July 4. Fireworks were awesome, great breakfast places, lots for child under 6 to do. Played on the beach, ride a bike for four and loved the fireworks

Relaxing place by a super easy accessible beach for anyone!! Island life, at it's best!! (If you want to feel like a local, not someone rushing on a vacation!)

Ocean Shores has these beautiful wide beaches where everyone parks right on the beach. You can see people flying kites or renting beach bikes to ride along the shore. During the spring and summer there is also horse back riding available on the weekends. It's a great place to get that sand and surf time in.

After having lived in California for 50 years, we were ready to make a change. Ocean Shores offer clean air and surroundings, a bay to watch is a blessing that offers a miracle every day.

Great place to get away to. I took my 3 sons, 15, 17 & 20 and they had a blast and so did I. It was nice to get away from all the electronics and enjoy beautiful scenery. There were deer everywhere which some literally ate food from our hands. The beaches are clean and easy to access. We are going back next month!

What if I want one way transportation to Ocean Shores from Seattle? Could I drop the rental off in Aberdeen? Is there a bus? Do you have UBER?
