We enjoyed our RSM tour. Jonathan, our was entertaining and knowledgeable. The whole family enjoyed it. I would recommend it as one if the first things you do in DC.

This was an excellent way to experience some of the top sights in D.C. Our tour guide, Smoky, was phenomenal -- personable and a great storyteller. You'll get to see all the major landmarks, from the White House to the Lincoln Memorial, MLK Memorial, WWII Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, and at a time that's great for photos.

Arrived at Union Station via Virginia VRE departure from Spotsylvania. Found it clean, and easy to find restrooms. Booked a hop on hop off tour at the entrance which took us to the Lincoln Memorial. Walked back to the station. Found restaurant to wait in for return VRE.
Atmosphere was calm and relaxed on the Tuesday after Memorial Day.

Smokey is an exceptional guide. Fun, very knowledgeable. He took us to all of the major monuments and and even some historical places we never knew about. Seeing the monuments at night is gorgeous. Highly recommend the night tour and Smokey as your guide!

Smokey was very friendly and did an excellent job of describing all the monuments we saw and/or toured. We loved being in a small tour group, and Smokey did fantastic answering questions. This tour was one of the highlights of our DC trip. I would highly recommend it.

The company was on time to pick us up, busses were clean and in good shape. The interary was well planned out. However, they had a driver call in sick. So our van listened to the other guide from other bus via the Bluetooth speaker. It was very hard to hear and therefore we did not get to hear any of the history. Very disappointing.

The station is beautiful. Clean and easy to find where you need to be. I love the train. A calm and efficient way to travel.

Nice hub right next to the capital area. We took the train from DE to Union and walked right to the capital building in just a few minutes.
Beautiful main hall and exterior building. City recently removed the homeless camp outside the station which drastically improves the experience.
Departing from Union is kinda terrible. There is very limited seating area. the gate area smells like piss and homeless are milling about yelling and being cray. I kept my young son close to me the whole time. like 300 people were trying to get on the train to NYC which chaos.
in short: easy to arrive at and start exploring the city. for departing from Union, arrive as your train is leaving so you dont have to spend any time there.

As you enter Union Station, turn left and walk to the very end of the building; walk down the stairway to the Metro and choose the walkway to the red line
Also, there is an information kiosk near the entrance to Union Station and they can guide you

Plan to arrive early - very early (30 minutes to 2 hours before departure). Boarding gates are usually posted 15 minutes prior to a train's departure. Many stations have monitors and signs that display the boarding gate locations for each train. Be sure to look for signs and kiosks that give instructions for what to expect. Check Train Status on Amtrak website and the Amtrak mobile apps before arriving at your station. Train crews will direct you to the appropriate car and will help with luggage.

El más fácil es utilizar el metro, línea Roja. Desde la Union Station, después de 5 estaciones, bajar en la Dupont Circle Station.

I don't believe that you can board the bus in the terminal. I do know that they are located across from the Megabus boarding space, but I think that you need to get on the bus from the street
