We just attended a wedding at the Farm on Sept. 8, 2018. This is a great venue for a wedding, birthday celebration, family reunion, etc. It's a very mature property in an isolated and quiet location in southern Amado, AZ. It has a large area for a reception or gathering, a swimming pool, and inside bar area and lovely grounds surrounded by serene pastureland and a backdrop of the Santa Rita Mtns. We would definitely consider using the Farm for a venue of our own.
However, I have two suggestions: 1) the entrance to the Farm is not marked. When you drive south on the E. Frontage Rd. in Amado you run out of pavement and are suddenly on a dirt road. There should be a sign indicating that the Farm is "down the dirt road." 2) when we were leaving the event in the evening (it was dark) there was no lighting to get from the reception area to the parking lot--we had to use camera lights to find our way.

What a beautiful Wedding Venue! Agua Linda provided a perfect subtle backdrop for our son and daughter-in-law's vows.
The event continued @ the cantina around the pool and for the wedding dinner with tables set for a large group of people but in an embracing manner so that one friend described the event as being "a gathering of a large extended family." The event went on in various staging areas of the farm with music selected by the couple but mixed by Stewart, the venue owner. Help for planning, preparing, photographing--always available with questions quickly answered by Laurel. One tip--attempt to select a caterer from the preferred list on the website. This way Laurel and Stewart can speak for the quality of the caterer's work and willingness to abide by protocol. The Wedding Couple will not regret choosing Agua Linda.

We were very excited to find a small organic farm so close by. Everything that I could find online made it sound like it would be an enchanting day in a lovely setting. It was crushing to learn that they weren't offering any of the meat, produce or honey we expected to be able to get there, nor were they doing any festivals anymore. They are instead turning themselves into a wedding venue. It's a beautiful location so I'm sure it would be a great venue, it just wasn't' what we were looking for, why we went or what we were lead to expect from what was available on line about them at the time. I see that they have since updated some of the information out there about them. I wish them the best of luck with the weddings, but wish even more they were still an organic farm.

Fun place to take the family, little ones as well as mom & dad let the kids run around and pet some animals, smell the flowers and learn a bit of history about Az. Just an old fashioned day on the farm!

Our youngest daughter & son in-law-to-be were getting married March 2015. They wanted to find a wedding site which would fit their personalities and unique to Arizona. Aqua Linda Farm in Amado, AZ feels like Old Arizona with rustic buildings, rambling grounds, and stunning views of Elephant Head. With family & friends coming in for the event from coast-to-coast and "across the pond," the couple knew everyone would enjoy the beautiful Southwest at Agua Linda Farm.
The owners, Laurel & Stewart, provided absolutely wonderful recommendations for desert entertaining with local vendors and caterers. Leading up to the wedding, Laurel, Stewart, & their staff put all kinds of nice touches around the grounds...potted plants, signs, chairs, etc. The bridal party had separate areas for getting ready...a lovely bedroom for the girls and an absolutely awesome, old-time bar/saloon for the guys. The girls "primped," while the guys "primed" themselves for the wedding.
The wedding was held in a grassy area surrounded by trees, overlooking the prairie and mountains. The reception was on the other side of the brick wall with that same glorious backdrop. As the sun set, everyone was in awe of the scenery. Later, strings of lights and the stars lit the night sky, while Stewart - who once worked in the music industry - spun dance tunes for guests - until the cows came home. ;)
From a Mom’s perspective, I loved watching our daughter’s & son in-law’s high school friends become friends with one another, blending with their college friends, co-workers, cousins, and aunts & uncles to become one BIG Family! What a nice way to enter into married life – surrounded by those who love you most - in an incredibly stunning setting.
As guests left, many requested a 1st anniversary party be held at Agua Linda Farm. After a beautiful wedding and fun reception, I think we were all trying to think of reasons to return. Would I recommend Agua Linda Farm for an outdoor wedding? You bet...please send us an invitation. ;)

This property was part of a land grant that goes way back to the early history of the area. There is one original building left on the property, I believe. You can see how the early inhabitants set up their living quarters and places for livestock. We went on a self-guided tour, basically. I thought it was worth the time it takes to read all the interesting facts about the history of the area and the people who passed through. If you find yourself in Amado, take a short tour of early history of the area.

Beautiful setting for a family wedding! Plentiful shade with beautiful scenery every direction you look. Fairly well protected on a 102 degree day.

We took our entire group out to Agua Linda Farms, Easter, 2013 and at the time it cost us $25/adult and $18/children so you'd expect a little more than a tire swing, a few farm animals to pet, a tractor that pulls you around a large dirt lot, and a bunch of eggs thrown on the ground (not hidden). But believe it or not, that's all you get. Oh, except for lunch. By the time we got done with the tractor ride, all of the good food was gone and all they had was stale bread and sandwiches, and some old fruit. NO EXAGERATION!!!! They didn't have enough food for everybody. When we tried to complain, the lady said, "Sorry, no refunds!" It was THE most disappointing time we've ever spent. SAVE YOUR MONEY!! Save a long trip out to Amado! Hide eggs in your back yard. I guarantee you, it'll be 100 times more enjoyable.

This quaint dessert farm presented a whimsical setting for a Halloween / fall event. We took our 4-year old, and it was absolutely perfect. The farm sits in a little valley in the dessert and is filled with mesquite trees and palo verdes. In the distance you can see the jagged ridges of the Santa Rita Mountains.
The $5 entrance fee included a haystack maze perfect for little ones, handful of John Deere branded trikes, photo op wooden cut-out with a John Deere tractor, choice of tree swings, an open-air bouncy house, a small array of goats, sheep and bull, and a hay ride through the field dotted with pumpkins that had been placed there earlier in the day. For an additional $5 you could either ride the miniature ponies in a circle or more fascinatingly get on a little buggie with a a driver and get pulled around by a prancing miniature horse. This is of course what our little one did.
And the main attraction was after the sun set, they showed a movie. They had hay bales set up for seats under the open sky or a few tables under a shelter. The night we were there they had 'Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin' and a bonus track of 'Snoopy and the Magic Show'.
For $1 we purchased a s'mores kit. The bag had 2 marshmallows, 2 decent squares of chocolate and 2 graham crackers. Behind all the bales they set up a large bonfire where you could roast your marshmallow on a mesquite tree branch they managed to whittle up just in time.
There was other food for purchase from the basic grill and of course, the farm stand was open with a few things and baked goods. Pumpkin pie!
We had such a wonderful time. I could barely tear my son away from the large tractor tire swing. And the walk back to the car under a big black sky filled with stars and a clear view of the Milky Way was the icing on the cake.
