Go for it, we had a super experience!

My husband and I celebrated our 10yr anniversary by coming to Morocco for 10 days without the kids.
The two night, three day tour to the Atlas Mountains and the desert were absolutely fantastic. Our driver Omar was a real pleasure to be with. Very easygoing, open to do whatever we wanted along the way. He is great company which is important when you’re in the car together for many hours.
I would highly recommend him as well as the tour company overall. The hotel in the Dades was super cute, the tent in the desert was also above expectations: huge bed, bathroom and hot shower. Food was great as well. Camel ride was something we wanted to try on the way to the camp. We took the truck on the way out the next day; who would have thought that 45min on a camel would hurt so much the next day!

Sahara overnight and camel trek

Our driver and guardian, Youssef Nahri, was the best. He was an excellent driver and let us stop and do many photo opportunities. He kept us safe and comfortable as we drove through the Sahara and made sure all travel arrangements were made. I would ask him to be our driver again and would recommend him to anyone planning an overnight in the Sahara.

Todo el tour fue maravilloso, viajamos con mi esposo y mis hijos adolescentes, y la noche en el desierto fue muy especial...sera unos de nuestros recuerdos familiares más increibles.

Perfect 3-days-trip to the desert! Omar is a reliable driver and knows all the good spots for taking pictures. The accommodations in the camp are clean and very luxury and you get a lot of traditional food. Thank you, Sahara Desert Tour!

Absolutely incredible

We had an unforgettable trip with our lovely tour guide Omar! We went on the 3 night, 4 day trip from marrakech to merzouga and having never done a guided tour before we really didn’t know what to expect! Well, we are converts and will definitely do it again, the Sahara desert was a highlight - in particular the camel ride and watching the sunrise and the lovely baked eggs that followed for breakfast. It was a real once in a lifetime moment. We also loved Ait Benhaddou and the gorges. In hindsight we probably would have done the shorter trip of 2 nights 3 days as we didn’t think we gained a huge amount by the extra day apart from spreading the driving out a bit which was nice! The places we were taken for lunch were all great recommendations by Omar and everything was very good value. If you want more high end luxury hotels you might want to work with the company to suggest this (I’m not sure if this is an option but just to flag!). The standard option includes very clean hotels with well prepared food - given they are more remote it might feel a bit more authentic / straight forward than what you experience in marrakech. The luxury camp is great but due to the time of year and as we tried to shower before the solar power really got going our shower was cold. Our main suggestion (as we went in January) is that we felt a bit underprepared for frost in the Sahara desert so make sure you check what you’ll need as the weather might not be what you expect! Omar also hosted us for tea at his house which was very kind. I’ve seen people complain about the long drives in other reviews - we thought they were fine and quite enjoyable - completely stress free! You see incredible scenery and Omar stopped whenever we asked. We also felt like we saw the true Morocco. Also we left something behind in one of the hotels and the company very kindly picked it up for us and got it back to us in marrakech. Incredible tour, good trustworthy company, it felt very safe and real! Would highly recommend and will book again!

Wonderful trip with Omar!

Awesome experience with our driver Omar. He took us to wonderful places, was very amenable to our whims and schedule changes. Always made sure we were comfortable - even took us to his family home. Knew some great local food spots.

Amazing!

Our driver Hassan provided us with a trip of a lifetime! He made us feel safe and comfortable for the entire duration of the trip. He showed us lovely places along the way to the desert, providing a lot of history facts and showing us great places to eat. We stayed in beautiful hotels and in a beautiful luxury private camp in the Sahara desert. If you opt to go to Fes afterwards instead of driving back to Marrakech, he will stop and show you the beber apes, which was definitely a highlight of the trip :)

Highly recommend this tour! Ask for Hassan if you can :)

Incredible experience

We did a 4 day 3 night trip and it was AMAZING! Our guide Hassan was absolutely brilliant. I felt completely safe at all times and he was incredibly knowledgeable about all the areas that we visited. He was just lovely and felt like a friend straight away.

The highlight was the night in the desert camp. The camp itself is beautiful and the camel ride to get to it was my favourite part of our whole holiday. My partner organised the trip via Mohamed who was helpful and prompt in responding.

I would definitely recommend doing this trip and in particular with these guys. It made our holiday and is an experience I will never forget.

Minne for livet😍

Fantastisk 3 dagers tur…minne for livet! Sjåføren Hassan, er vennlig og kunnskapsrik. Selv om veien til tider var utfordrende følte vi oss alltid trygg. Uforglemmelige Atlasfjellene, grønne oaser og Sahara. Kamelturen var et høydepunkt. Vi møtte bare glade og hyggelige folk underveis. Spiste lokal berbermat som smakte utsøkt. Anbefaler Sahara Desert Tour og tar gjerne turen igjen:)
