The Palace of Justice is next to the Igreja Nossa Senhora da Graca by the main square on the Plateau. It's an imposing building for the little town of Praia. Quite plain in design yet it stands out.

This building is still used today for criminal processing. It's a nice building to look at if you happen to be around the area. It's across the street from the center plaza in Plato, on the southern side. And just beyond the building, further south, you will see the Presidential Palace, right by a children's playground. The playground costs a few escudos per child, but is there is the kids want to go for a swing or play around. You can make this part of your day trip, as a stroll through the park and the surrounding areas will allow for some nice pictures and time to walk off a big lunch.

This is a very interesting island and one that should not be missed. It is nice to see what such islands are like and life on them as people go about their daily lives. We returned in January having visited in December. As we had taken the Island Tours trip and our short stay did not permit us to do that Tour again, we spent our time looking around the town to soak up the atmosphere and spend longer at the different buildings in the town where we had learned so much from the guide on Island Tours. It is interesting to see the different architecture.

Compared with many other building in the City, this building looks very smart. it is in fact older than it looks, and has nice dimensions. Our guide told us that it was still used to deal with local criminals.

We didn't go inside, but this is a neat looking building right on Praça Alexandre Albuquerque. Heavily refurbished in 2006. Looks good! Take a quick peak.
