Amazing holidays!

We spent awesome holidays with Theo! He responded very fast for my request. And even he had only couple of days before our arrival he arranged everything in the best way according our requests and helped us with choosing a route and places to visit.
Our guide and driver were very friendly and helpful. We travelled with 2 small kids. From time to time they were pretty noisy and enjoying 😉, but guys tolerated everything and helped us when they can!
Thank you a lot for the best adventure!

Great experience overall! Trustworthy and smooth transaction before the trip and they were very acommodating to making changes to the itinerary . Vunjyi the guide was very helpful throughout the trip . The guide in Tsinge was excellent as well , very knowledgeable abt the countrys history and fauna as well, that was one of the best days of the trip . I would definetely recommend Theo Tours if youre planning Your trip to Madagascar.

Just returned from a week long (not long enough!) trip to Madagascar. The country just opened up again to tourists after a 2 year hiatus due to Covid. I found Theo on trip advisor and he was very accommodating, and his English and knowledge is very good. He made a tour unique to my requests. The hotels he chose were great, and the local guides at each location were incredible as they found a way to locate all the lemurs and creatures we were searching for.. even in the dark! Given the roads, the driver and the car is a significant part of the trip, and Tojo, Theo's driver for me, was exceptional. Highly recommend.

Theo made such a difference to our trip

I planned our 2 week trip myself aiming to see as many birds as possible. All we needed was a hire car, but as all readers now no doubt know this is impossible in Madagascar. All hire cars come with drivers. And so this is how we came upon Theo.
He was so much more than a driver. He has incredible knowledge of local customs and traditions and history. Alone we would have stumbled ,I'm sure , but with Theo all went well, no hitches or issues. When we did have an issue with a dreadful hotel in Fiarantsoa he advised us of a good one in our next itinerary location and so it was. Superb. Attentive when needed and happy to leave us alone if appropriate, Theo read us well and he obviously has experience and skills that are just what is needed. Because of him we had a thoroughly enjoyable and interesting trip. I should mention that his lovely fiancee accompanied us too as back-up since it seems that that is a necessary precaution in Madagascar . Cannot recommend Theo too highly.

Lo raccomandiamo!

Abbiamo passato 10 giorni con Theo come guida/autista. È stata un’esperienza grandiosa!
Theo è giovane, affidabile, gentile, puntuale e parla bene l’inglese. Il tour organizzato da Theo è stato denso e dinamico ma ci ha permesso di visitare numerose attrazioni del Madagascar. Gli alberghi prenotati da Theo erano tutti in ordine. Abbiamo visitato i parchi nazionali di Ranomafana, Anja, Isalo e Morondava (Baobab) con molte tappe intermedie. La sua automobile (4x4) è sicura e confortevole e Theo guida bene. Per il tour da noi scelto le ore di viaggio sono state molte ma ne è valsa la pena!

Such an incredible experience with Theo!

I had such an incredible experience working with Theo and his company. He went above and beyond in terms of service, recommendations, helping set up guides and places to stay and things to do. He also helped create the perfect itinerary for my trip to Madagascar. He was very knowledgable, polite, always on time and in general we had one of the best experiences we have ever had with any tour company. I highly recommend working with him for your trip and will definitely be back!

Theo is a wonderful guy and a professional guid

We came across Theo by accident, when it start raining in the middle of our trek, and our driver brought Theo to help him find us. He speaks very good English and on the way back to the hotel he helped us find he gave us a little tour. He he a really great guy and a professional tour guide :)
If we come to Madagascar again we will talk with him for sure.

We have done the tour from Theo travel company becouse he listened politely all our requirements and wishes and very qukly make the tour for us. I have done the tour with my daughter 8 years old. Оur guide Baggio became a friend for us, he solved all our problems, always being nearby and made our tour carefree. It was amazing, we so all interesting places. Very recommend Theo company!!!

Excellent tour to discover Madagascar's biodiversity

We have just spent two weeks in Madagascar on a tour arranged with Theo Tours – a local company run by Santatriniaina M. Theophile Valimbavaka, or just Theo for short. Our tour (for two) was focussed on Madagacar’s nature and wildlife with a bit of R&R, Malagasy culture and eating thrown in. Madagascar is an island – but a big one – and the roads are not that good. This means a lot of travel time and bumps which we shortened by taking some internal flights. Theo organised an excellent itinerary for us travelling across the centre of the country through the east coast rain forests to the coast and flying back to the dry forests of the west. We saw a wide range of lemurs, chameleons and birds representative of the island’s biodiversity. Highlights were seeing and listening to the haunting call of the amazing indri-indri at the Palmerium reserve and watching the nocturnal aye-aye opening and feeding on coconuts. A total contrast was the dry spiny forest of Kirindy on the west coast where there is an abundance of endemic birdlife and we saw three species of nocturnal lemur as well as the beautiful Verreaux’s sifaka in the restored forest. We also saw at close quarters Madagascar’s top predator, the fossa. The independently mobile eyes of the chameleon never ceased to amaze. Ile Sainte Marie was an excellent spot for a break on the coast. Theo takes great care in setting up his tours and found an excellent range of small hotels and forest lodges that were ideal for our needs. Our guide and driver provided great service, were good company and an excellent source of local knowledge. Madagascar has an amazing biodiversity which is under threat from deforestation and environmental degradation, but efforts are being made to preserve remaining forests through dedicated staff who work in the National Parks system and private conservation efforts. Theo is dedicated to conservation of Madagascar’s flora and fauna and gave us a fantastic introduction through Theo Tours.
