Amazing treck to Annapurna circuit! Freedom did its best to guide us through all challenges! I had the best trip ever (but it is cold in December - think carefully about gear!).
Great pacing, excellent food and the absolute joy of spending time with the Freedom crew. Loved every single day and felt so well looked after. We even had a cake to celebrate Christmas!! Kush is a dream guide and I would follow this team up any mountain. His team was also great - amazing assistant guides Santos, Birdhoj, Ananta and brilliant support team Taashi, Iswor, Jivan, Khem, Surya and Mohan <3

Did the ACT with these guys in December 2024 and still not over how great it was. Scenery is out of this world and the Freedom team are outstanding. Had the best trip ever - lucked out with the other hikers and were blessed with such great weather days (but it is cold in December - think carefully about gear!).

I did the Annapurna Circuit with these guys and was impressed. They're polite, professional, patient, understanding and have a great sense of humour. By the end of the trip they'll feel like your friends and you'll really enjoy the camaraderie and jokes.

My trip was great ,very good experience.
Extremely thankful for my guide Pujan for getting us all to the base camp with no issues only good memory’s,he was great couldn’t ask for better.
Tashi and Benja were the supporting staff they were excellent at there job and brought a lot of fun and laughter into the group. Made great friends with them throughout the trip. All great people. Pujan encouraged them to speak to the group this showed how good a leader he was.
The porters names were
Dikman,Lanka,Ras, Prashant they were amazing at there job and the chance to speak to them at the end was brilliant.
10/10 trip all credits to the team who were brilliant at their job

I've already recommended this trip to friends! We were very lucky to have Sunil, Tika, Sebika and Bijaya as our guides. Sunil and Tika have so much experience and knowledge in navigating all the challenging situations that could occur during a hike. Our assistant guides, Sebika and Bijaya, were also fantastic - they were always looking out for us and keen to share their culture. A special thanks to Sebika who monitored me during the night when I was having issues with altitude. All the guides were so supportive and made the entire experience amazing. It was really great making it to EBC but the following day we hiked in the snow and it was magical. I also happened to have my birthday during the trip and team organised birthday surprises for me! Would 100% recommend this trip :)

This was the best trip I've ever booked. The staff were all amazing and went above and beyond to make sure our trip was perfect. The days were very carefully balanced to ensure the best route, sensible length and challenge to allow us to acclimatise to the altitude properly. The scenery was epic, the food was delicious, the experience was unforgettable.
As described on the site it was cold but our guides made sure we had the right kit (assisting us with any equipment hire in Kathmandu) and briefed us every evening on what to expect the next day so we could layer appropriately.
Thank you to Kush, Birdhoj, Santosh, Ananta, Taashi, Mohan, Khem, Surya, Iswor and Jivan - you were all incredible and I hope to come back on another trip with you.

No pictures or words will ever do the past few weeks justice. Our incredible guides - Sunil, Sebika, Tika and Bijaya were absolutely outstanding throughout. No task was too much trouble and they led us everyday with smiles on their faces. They continuously encouraged us and inspired us everyday. I really hope another group is as lucky as us to experience them together as guides, their dynamic was unmatched and the compassion and leadership they showed was admirable.
If anyone is considering trekking to Everest Base Camp - do it. You won’t regret it and you will learn so much about yourself and a truly special culture.

Annapurna Circuit Trek, December 2024
AMAZING TRIP FACILITATED BY BRILLIANT GUIDES AND A REALLY FUN GROUP OF PEOPLE
Travel: collected at the airport on time, all logistics were handled by the company and guides with no issues at all. Very little thinking required by us other than sorting international flights to and from Kathmandu, everything else was taken care of. Lots of support and comms to ensure we left on time for our flight and to manage the Kathmandu traffic, even after the trip was officially finished.
Accommodation: nice hotels in the cities with WiFi and hot water. Teahouses were nice and add a lot to the experience. Note that there is never heating in the rooms, and in winter they get really cold, but that is normal. There were almost always stoves on in the teahouses main rooms where you have your meals, which is nice. Sometimes limited running water as the taps freeze, but all part of the experience and guides always went above and beyond to ensure we had what we needed. Even able to squeeze in two hot showers in the teahouse.
Scenery: the highlight of the trip, the Himalayas don’t disappoint. Incredible views and panoramas. The very cold weather in winter seemed like a good compromise for us because of the crystal clear blue skies and way fewer tourists, felt like we had the place to ourselves.
Food: very good considering how difficult it must be to get it and cook it in such remote places. All teahouses had extensive menus and it was tasty and filling. Always served on time and never got the order wrong, which was very impressive. No one had any issues with stomach bugs as far as I’m aware. One thing to note is that at the teahouses food and drinks are relatively expensive, but the suggested amount of cash to bring was right and we didn’t run out.
Guides: outstanding and they make the trip. Our leader Kush was super helpful and nice and had a great sense of humor. The assistant guides were always on hand to help, take your order and generally do everything you asked them to. They would not think twice about immediately stopping their card game to go get you a coffee, and were genuinely ultra professional. The support staff are heroic, and were always on time ahead of the group and very friendly. I had heard from other travelers in Nepal that sometimes there are problems with the support staff drinking too much and being hungover, but I have to say there were none of that on this trip at all. The staff were all brilliant and we can’t thank them enough.
Challenge: the cold and altitude were difficult and the two big days at altitude (Tilicho lake and Thorong La pass) were tough days, but really rewarding. The trip is rated as challenging so I think it’s accurate. Plenty of quite chilled days in between to acclimatize and rest. Overall good mix.
Group: excellent group and dynamic facilitated by the guides. No dramas at all. I guess partly luck and partly a good reputation and targeted marketing by MBA.
Road/trail: as we had been told in other reviews there are a few bits of the trek that are on the road rather than on trail (maybe 15%?). Because it was not high season this wasn’t too much of a problem as there weren’t very many vehicles, but I can see that it would likely be annoying in high season with lots of vehicles and dust. Pretty sure that where a trail is available the guides will always take it. Hopefully more trails are built away from the road in future, but wasn’t really a problem for us. Generally the trek is quite dusty until you get above 4000m
Vehicles: 2 days of driving in and out of the circuit. Either jeep or minibus, both were good and comfortable (as comfortable as possible given the varying road quality). Plenty of stops to get food and use the toilets - no issues.
Overall: amazing trip, definitely recommend this time of year if you can put up with the cold, as you get blue skies and no crowds as a reward.
