I am not mechanically minded at all so sometimes it can be intimidating when going to a mechanic, especially one called "Fatboy's".....but over the last few years I have been a repeat customer. You're met by a very professional young lady that instantly gives you reassurance and confidence that they know there stuff. Each time I have received a consultation from the mechanic and given realistic, affordable and efficient quotations for the work I've needed. The owner is friendly, chatty and helpful and his team are consistently helpful. I don't live in Ekamai and probably ride past at least 5 other places that could service me but without hesitation I always return to Fatboy's. The entire team are nothing short of courteous and professional.

I was expecting paying 2000 baht is for buying time and reducing admin cost but backfired.
I was told to pay deposit first before telling me the meeting time and location. It’s shocking me when I got the assembly time, that is 6:30AM in the morning, 2 hours earlier than the official opening time for department of land transportation. Apparently, we were here ready ourselves to compete for the queue ticket under a first come first serve basis. Unfortunately, when I arrived, 40 seats had been occupied which means 40 guaranteed tickets is up. I was asked to line up outside the tent, a waiting list queue. Agents finally showed up carrying 2 cups of coffee. I tried to keep my manner, asked her “there are already 40 people here filled up the quotas, will I be no chance today? Why you help your guests to buy coffee but not secure a seat for your other guest which is me?” Her reply is “normally it may have extra 10 tickets to be given out”. What “normally” and “may”. You charge me but I have to standing still under the fierce sunshine to wait for a replacement ticket by myself, it’s ridiculous.
At last, a man withdrew and I got a substitute ticket. And I declined their service and went through all the procedures by myself and got my license successfully. Of course no deposit refunded.
Actually, the steps is very easy and you can do it yourself just afford time with less money. Unless you really need a babysitter.
Ironically, the officer looked at my address and wondered why I drove that far away from my house and the point is that office always super busy. Sigh, if only I knew everything turned out running by myself I would definitely find the most nearest office near my house with less people instead of losing deposit, time, gasoline and drove 30km to here.

I'm so sorry to hear you had a poor experience with us. We really do apologize.
Our license team informed you before that you needed to be at the DLT at 6:30 am or else we wouldn't be able to assist you with getting a license.
You arrived after 7am and it was too late as the queue for license was already full.
After being extremely upset with our staff we attempted to call you and offer a refund even though you arrived late.
We don't believe this warrants a 1 star review and also posting this same review on every single page of Fatboys, as this incident was only the Thai License service which is a separate entity from our rental services.
Regardless, best of luck and thank you for your feedback. Take care 🙏

Fatboys has 4 Bangkok Scooter Rental Locations. I rented a Honda Click 125 for about a year. Great service, English speaking, price very good. Def recommend Fatboys motorbike rentals.

We had rung Fatboys about 6 months before we wanted to rent a motorbike so we could book 2 bikes. Unfortunately we were not able to book as it was a matter of turning up on the day to see what bikes were available.
We were lucky to arrive in Bangkok about 4 days before we needed the bikes so we went to Fatboys in On Nut as they had a bigger selection but ended up booking from Silom as it was closer to Khao San Road where we were staying. Fatboys in Silom cost about 200 baht in a taxi from Khao San Road but our taxi driver had difficulty finding it. As the streets were so small, we ended up walking following our GPS to find the store. It is quite small, so keep an eye out for signs.
We wanted to get bigger bikes the same, but weren't available (they do long term rentals as well). We ended up with a Yamaha 155cc each to ride a return trip of about 1000klms to Buriram for the MotoGP. Not overly fast but they went well and were comfortable.
The staff were very helpful and made sure the bikes were in good condition before we left. The scooters were cheap to rent and cost about 2200 baht for 7 days rental each including helmets. We left a 5000 baht deposit for each bike and a photocopy of our passport.
The staff were happy for us to contact them anytime during the trip if we had any issues. Recommend having Whatsapp downloaded as this was the easiest way to keep in contact.
Each of the Fatboys Motorbike Rental shops are individually owned and the staff, were very helpful.
Payment is with cash for both the bike rental and deposit. No problem with getting our deposit back. There is an ATM a short walk away from the shop if you need it.
Great experience and would recommend renting motorbikes from Fatboys and we will definitely rent bikes from Fatboys again.
