A must visit for anyone interested in textile arts, natural dyeing and anthropology. Patricia is a unique character. Also, a very elegant place. They support Karen people with jobs and cultural preservation.

いつもニマンヘミンはこの店に立ち寄ることから始まります。

I would definitively recommend this place:
I've heard about them in Berlin, hearing a presentation of Lamorna Cheesman (designer and manager of the place).
As textile Student I came here for a " one week Backstrap Loom Workshop" I felt really welcomed and i learned a lot, bringing at home a really beautiful woven piece. Sripai, who give me the workshop was really helpful and patience.
From what i know they also organize Indigo Workshops, sounds also really interesting.
This place has a long tradition and knowledge about Thai-Lao textiles. You can learn a lot about the whole process hidden behind a beautiful textile piece.
I was mostly fascinated in the ethic of Studio Naenna, producing in a traditional and handicraft way (with a big respect of the women's producing it) and with natural materials (like natural dies).
And of course the pieces they produce are incredibly beautiful, and is definitively worth to know more about the incredible work that is in each one.

If you dun have the time to visit their workshop/gallery, you can visit their in town shop in the nimmanhaemin area, it is called “adorn with studio naenna”.
I like the ikat handmade neckacles that they design, very original, and you know just by the touch of the materials, that they are made of good and natural cotton threads.
I bought one of their silk scarves, a little bit expensive by local standards, but the colors and materials are really of good quality.
I would recommend travelers to visit this store if they are looking of good and ethical quality gifts from Chiangmai.

I went to see the studio I had heard so much about, and i was really impressed. Mother and daughter have created a great workshop. You can see the indigo vats and the people weaving. You can visit the shop with some of the most beautiful hand-made textiles ever seen! I got plenty of explanation and information. This was just a private visit, I didn't have a time to do a complete arranged tour and there were no workshops at the time. If I had been able, I certainly would have done a workshop.

Our tour company booked this experience for us and we had a fun and informative morning! We were treated to a very interesting talk about the local textile craft. How dyes are made, fabrics died and woven. We were then given a lesson on tie dying using natural indigo. While my husband and I both had the traditional camp experience of tie dying this was far far more than that! We walked away with some lovely creations of our own making and we were able to purchase some exquisite locally made items. Highly recommend if you are looking for a different activity. Good for families too.

They place very nice very peaceful and you can learn more how to dry the color you also can buy the product from them very nice and very cheap and very unique .they accept also the people who love to learn how to make it too.

In researching our trip to Chiang Mai, I discovered Studio Naenna. I later decided to book a private tour of Chiang Mai. I sent my goals and expectations to the company but did not mention Studio Naenna. I was pleased and reassured when the company came back to me proposing a visit to Naenna Studios. The setting is very relaxing and we had a very nice conversation with the founder's daughter. We arrived rather late, so we did not get to spend as much time as we would have preferred. Studio Naenna is definitely on our list to visit on a return trip to Chiang Mai.

Loja de tecidos e roupas artesanais, na grande maioria tingidos com indigo. Breve demonstração das plantas de onde se extrai os pigmentos e das mulheres trabalhando nos teares. Ambiente agradável. Preço justo. Belíssimos panos!
