This last year has felt as if my golf game completely stagnated. Wanting to get out the slump and get significantly better I booked 3 weeks of instruction (5 days a week) with Spike. Brave, considering I only had testimonials from TripIt and the academy website to aid my selection. :)
I have learnt more about the golf swing than I ever knew before. Spike coached me to a deeper understanding of the mechanics, efficient mental tools for understanding cause and effect in the swing, and how to keep improving.
Looking at video analysis the changes are striking and extremely positive. The path of my swing used to be very "outside-to-in". This has been replaced by a repeatable on-plane swing, much closer to what you see as "good" swings on YouTube or instruction videos. I also now have the tools to make it even better - although it takes more than just 3 weeks to grind away 5 years of practice and conditioning.
Highly recommended.

Spike is brilliant. I had been having serious problems with my golf game, SHANKS!! For you golfers who have ever experienced this, you will understand my recent mental state. Spike breaks everything down, feeds you information in digestible pieces and suddenly the entire game, the swing and the whole package becomes clear. I would recommend every golfer to spend time with Spike. I had several three hour lessons with him, this in itself is a testament to his patience.

Chang Mai is beautiful. Golf is hard. Three-Generation is Great! Golf is hard. The academy is on a beautiful, peaceful campus. Golf is hard!
If you have been playing golf, you know golf is difficult and requires a lot of hard work and precision. If you are beginning golf, you will soon know this fact. Spike has two things that I believe will make me a better golfer: 1) He wants me to get better; 2) he has taught many years, but still studies to find a better understanding of the swing and ways he can pass this knowledge on to his students.
I once saw my daughter's horse riding coach break down in tears after my daughter competed well at a horse show. Spike might not cry (in front of you) , but he is a teacher who invests himself in your success, and the money ( and it's a bargain for this caliber of a coach) is not a part of his thinking.
If you can spend some time with him, your game will be better because of it.

Mijn vrouw hc 10 en ik hc 18 hebben drie dagen golfinstructie gekregen van Spike.Heel anders dan verwacht zijn we bij het begin van de golf swing begonnen en vandaar uit verder gewerkt. Na zoveel verschillende golfleraren in Nederland en België te hebben gehad voelde deze manier van aanpak beter. Hierdoor nam het vertrouwen in de golfswing toe. Nu is het nog een kwestie van oefenen om het beoogde resultaat te krijgen. We weten in ieder geval precies hoe en waar we aan moeten werken.

I have been in the golf academy for one year. The training with coach Spike really changed my game. I actually understand the different parts of my swing now, if you can talk about understanding golf... But the technique is not even the most important part, the way Spike teaches is just perfect, he is funny, well-read and can verify the things he teaches you by science etc. and to say he and his wife Joy are lovely persons and it is a nice place where you want to learn golf or get better.
I didn't have a golf lesson for over half a year now (had to go back home), but with the things I have learnt i can correct myself. Therefore i have to say that is the best training i had so far in my 6 years of playing golf. (With Spike my hcp improved from 13 to 4 within a year!!!!!) If you have the chance to practice with Spike, take i!!!!!

We had 3 times of golf instruction with Spike and it was perfect. Spike is an amazing Coach. He explains very well and easily to understand. Spike is very patient and humorously and suitable for young and "old" Golfers. My sons (16/18, Hdc 10 and 4) were inspired by him. The Golfing Machine instruction system helped me to get an idea, how a swing has to be in it's different pieces - that was really, really helpful!!! Never had lessons like this before. It changed my "Golf-life". Now it is much easier to me to practice, because I know what to do.
We came from Germany - but next time, when we travel to Chiang Mai, my first thing I will do is: an appointment with Spike!!!!

Spike was amazing! He met with me on very short notice after I sent him a pleading email explaining my golfing problems. Spike is patient and explains everything very clearly. I will always be grateful for the time he spent with me helping me to get rid of the 'demons' that were interfering with my golf game. I would recommend golfers of ALL levels to see him!

"SPIKE” COLLIER OF PREM GOLF ACADEMY has changed my life. I can say my major frustrations with golf is almost over. For the past 18 years I have "hacked" at thousands of golf balls. I have taken lessons, even attended community college for instructions. My "whys" were never answered nor understanding. Spike has changed all that. He has complete knowledge of golf, the mechanics of the golf swing, and the nuances of the game of golf. Most important his teaching technique and his expert use of video analysis has made me a confident holder of a golf club(s). Knowing that I can put a golf ball up in the air, straight, with confidence, is a testament to Spike"s gift to pass his knowledge to "anyone"!!

Hello Spike, I will be visiting a friend in January 2018 who lives just outside of Chiangmai mai ( for One month) I would be very interested in spending one week at your learning academy for Golf lessons and accommodation . I am a beginner !
Could you send me prices for accommodation and tuition fees please!
