Booked this excursion on a whim and I am so glad I did! Ken was an excellent tour guide. We were greeted with an elephant and her baby Nancy upon arrival. We fed them and played with them! Such amazing creatures. The trek was a bit more intense than expected (wear sneakers), but it allowed us to see much of the property. The elephants were free roaming and we saw and fed a total of 6. The last stop at the waterfall was an experience I will never forget. The last elephant came down to get cooled off by the stream. Our last stop was a traditional lunch made by Ken’s family. If you’re looking for an authentic experience, this place is the way to go. 12/10!!!!

Todo perfecto, desde la chica que nos vendio el pack pasando por el chofer un hombre muy amable y servicial.
Una vez alli los elefantes son impresionantes, los guias que nos tocaron fueron ken y su mujer ke, increibles. El señor ken fue simpatico bromista y servicial y la mujer se veia una mujer fuerte atrevida y muy simpatica. Volveremos en un futuro no solo por los elefantes y su entorno sino por su gente.
Una vez alli los elefantes son impresionantes, los guias que nos tocaron fueron ken y su mujer ke, increibles. El señor ken fue simpatico bromista y servicial y la mujer se veia una mujer fuerte atrevida y muy simpatica. Volveremos en un futuro no solo por los elefantes y su entorno sino por su gente.

Den Elefanten dort geht es sehr gut. Sie haben enorm viel Freiraum, den ganzen Jungle dort und die Leute gehen gut mit ihnen um und kümmern sich liebevoll.
Es hat sich sehr gelohnt dort hinzugehen!

Unfortunatelly it was not the best experience. We chose this tour mainly because we were after something more genuine and because we wanted to support the locals. We read it was a small family business and that they've been caring for elephants for 4 generations and some Thai people recommend it. We also read a lot of nice comments online so we thought it would be the best choice but actually it was not very pleasant. The place is big and full of nature but it looks a bit abandoned. We got there and there was no one around so we had to find the trail to go to the main "house". We didn't have any kind of explanation or information about the place, the elephants or how our day would be and when asking questions the answers were vague. We were just taken to some place and told "feed the elephant, photo with the elephant". Then we would walk quickly somewhere else. It didn't seem to me that the elephants and the carers had a strong bond too. They were NOT treated in a bad way, there was no riding of course, it was all on their time (I guess) but it just didn't feel right. The elephants also had some loose ropes around their necks and when I asked about it they said it was a GPS (which I didn't actually believe).
Lunch was very different from the tour flyer photos and from the google photos. We were told lunch would be a few options of veggies etc but it was just one individual portion of rice and eggs (I'm a vegan so I didn't eat). The tour was also supposed to be a full day but it was just 4 hours. Super expensive for what it delivers. But specially because of the elephants, it didn't seem to me like they were very happy.
The car that took us there was excellent and private. The driver was super cautious and nice. The waterfall at the property is beautiful but overall I do not recommend. And I suggest that before booking with any other company you read more to really understand where the elephants came from and how they are kept and treated. That's what I thought I've done but clearly and I should've digged deeper.

I had an amazing week at the Elephant village sanctuary. I stayed with Mr Ken and his family and from the second I arrived I felt like a part of the family. They taught me how to look after the elephants and live like a local.
The elephants themselves are lovely, you can tell they love their carers very much and listen to their words. I fed them a range of fruits and helped bathe them daily.
The village tribe is unique and I assure you that you will never see anything like this in the WHOLE of Thailand as their history is unique and rich.
I really appreciate this time as I’ve never done anything like this and have learnt a lot about their community it’s defiantly an experience i’m going to remember for the rest of my life :) Thank you Mr Ken

A experiência foi um pouco frustrante e diferente do anunciado na propaganda.
O guia apesar de falar inglês, não nos passou nenhuma informação relevante sobre o local, os animais ou qualquer coisa do tipo. O passeio foi totalmente desorganizado, durou somente 3 horas apesar que deveria de ser um passeio de 1 dia inteiro.
Quando chegamos no local, ninguém nos recebeu, tivemos que caminhar em uma trilha sozinhos e descobrir o destino final. O almoço foi bem diferente das fotos, só tinha arroz misturado com ovos mexido, como sou alérgico a ovos, não pude almoçar.
Pontos positivos: o animais eram bem tratados e estavam vivendo de forma natural sem interações artificiais.
O veículo que nos levou até o local foi excelente, muito confortável, novo, com boa segurança e o motorista dirigiu de forma cordial e agradável.

Thank you Mister Ken! My friend and I visited elephant village on New Years Day 2023 and had such a lovely experience. It is clear to see that the 4 elephants living here are very happy. There are no chains, and no riding of the elephants, you get to feed the elephants fruits and help them bathe in the river. They seem to love Mr Ken and his family, I would definitely recommend this place over other elephant tours in the area.
We were given transportation to and from Elephant village, as well as a nice lunch, for the reasonable price of 1750thb.

So good to see the Elephants being so well taken care of. It wasn't too far from downtown and a private tour is the way to go.
