C’est horrible, des pauvres bêtes enchaînés, malades, dans leur escriment. Des crocodiles dans des petites cages, toutes est sale c’est horrible . Aucun respect de l animal ils vomissent pendant le show tellement ils sont malade.

We loved this tour! Emma our guide was fantastic and very nice. Also the animals were not abused like other reviews state. They’re pets but cared for well which is apparent in the pictures.
The elephants have an area to walk around in, not chained up like a lot of places. Also they are provided in shade and look healthy... our guide educated us how much the animals cost so their well being is a top priority for the owners. The monkeys also were rewarded with food and had areas for shade. It’s honestly just like how horses are treated in USA so not abused.
Very cheap overall and was surprised that the lunch as great. Didn’t have high expectations for the food but it was a pleasant surprise!

As mentioned in most reviews, the elephant and monkey shows (and elephant trekking) should be avoided. We decided to stay comfortably under cover and not participate in either. The little I saw of the animals' living conditions was predictably upsetting viewing. We need to realise that this is a way for some people to make their living, so a move to a more natural observational environment would be a great way forward.
The rest of the tour was a lot of fun and perfectly paced. The temples, rocks etc were predictable tourist fare- with lines of stalls around and the odd experience of buddhist monks giving you a blessing for a price (and letting you know if you hadn't given enough). But the tour spent minimal time at these places and more with the exhilarating 4wd adventure up the mountain. The viewpoints were stunning, food delicious (the best food on our Koh Samui trip came on these types of tours- simple and absolutely delicious), and the driving expertly done. Sitting on top was a remarkable experience for those willing. Despite having a tour guide, there was little information given, just 'this is ...... and we have......minutes here).
Apart from the mountain trip, most of the sites weren't overly remarkable so this was a great way to see everything on one day, at a good price.

I was very sad and disturbed to see these beautiful gentle giants tied up to a short chain. The island is stunning and no self respecting tourist wants to see these beautiful animals this way.

Wir entschieden uns fpr die Halbtagestour, da wir schon einiges kannten oder uns zum Beispiel die Grossvater/mutter steine beim besten Willen nicht interessierten.
Die Tour ist mit 1500 baht recht günstig.
Die grosse Tempelanlage mit x Tempel, dann der big Buddha und noch ein chinescher Tempel (3 Stopps!!!)waren nicht so spannend. Vor allem der chinesische Tempel war einach irgendwas... Das ist mein 5tes mal in Thailand und mir kamen alle 0 authentisch vor. Wie nur für die Touristen hingestellt, es hatte auch fast nur Touristen. 3 Thais habe ich gesehen und ein Mönch der aufpasste das die Touris die Schuhe auszogen oder nicht halb nakt in die Tempel rannten. Keine liebevoll mit goldblättern verzieren Statuen etc.
Nach den Tempel's folgte der Kokosnuss-Stopp.
Äffchen die am Hals festgebunden sind und Kokosnüsse von den Palem holen. Danach Kokosnüsse zum trinken. Diese sind jedoch für die Öl-Herstellung etc gedacht weswegen die Milch nicht süss und nicht zum trinken gedacht ist.
Ein Baby-Äffchen wollre zu seiner Mama. Das Bsby Äffchen am Baum festgebunden, die Mama-Affe an einer Schubkarre. Die Mama-Affe legte sich hin und versuchte mit den Hinterbeinen zum kleinen Äffchen zu kommen. Der Besitzer stellte den Wagen an dem die Mutter angebunden war noch etwas weiter auseinander (ohhh...).
Weiter zu den Tiegern, da konnte man Fotos mit Leoparden (300 Baht) oder Tiegern (400 baht) machen. Danach gings gleich weiter zu einem Wasserfall. Als Schweizerin sind Wasserfälle in Thailand so eine Sache.. Hmm... Ja wie zu erwarten. Langweilig. Unter Wasserfall verstehe ich etwas anderes.
Danach gings zum Elefantenreiten. Wir waren eine Woche davor tierschutzgerecht Elefanten waschen und baden. Der Unterschied war gravierend! Die Elefanten hatten Verletzungen am Kopf so wie an den Ohren. Sie waren auch psychisch völlig kabutt (wackelten mit dem Kopf hin und her). Die Hüter hatten Stöcke mit spitzigen Hacken dran...

Das wirklich coole war die 360° Tour.
Da wir nur zu viert waren konnten wir abwechseln vorne am Auto sitzen. Es war toll. Die Aussich war toll und das essen auch! Das beste an der Tour!

We saw baby elephants on short chains left in the sun. Elephants hit with sticks! Monkeys in small bird cages... refused to go on the ride and were told no refund. Avoid this disgusting place. How Thai authorities allow these nasty cruel people to torture animals so many years after our first visit I simply cannot understand. Feel extremly guilty for ever booking in the first place and Viator won't remove this horrible company off their books. Not sure who to report this to but will try.

We were on Koh Samui in early May and booked an all day jeep safari tour to see the main island attractions with a company called Asian Trails. Due to a lack of people for this tour, 2 of us had a tour guide in English, and a German and a Russian couple had their own tour guide who spoke both languages. Luckily our tour guide was lovely and spoke good English. We started off by seeing the temples on the island, then went on an extremely bumpy ride to the viewpoint restaurant in the mountains to have lunch. The views there were great and it was very peaceful. The demonstration of monkeys picking coconuts from the trees was interesting, however I do feel sorry for the animals as they were on chains, likely to prevent them from escaping. The secret garden and the waterfall were total letdowns. The statues in the secret garden are spaced apart and to get a good view/photo you must go down steep stairs that can be slick with water from rain etc. Very easy to fall and get seriously hurt. And dont even get me started on the waterfall. The two of us never bothered to see it. In order to do that, you must go over a makeshift wooden bridge which is just wooden boards with some rope here and there to hold onto as you cross a small river. Then you have to hike up steep steps with no railing that I saw. If you slipped and fell, well you get the hint. Clearly, safety standards in Thailand are not as strict as in the developed world. We did not choose to do the elephant ride up to the waterfall, which was an option for this tour. Please don't ride elephants, it's actually bad for their spine. Overall, I'm glad we saw most of the main island attractions, however the ride to the mountains on these horrible unpaved roads is not for the faint of heart. I would not recomment this tour if you have mobility issues or neck or back problems. You will likely get a sore bum after this tour.

Usine à fric comme on dit, absolument aucun mais alors AUCUN respect des animaux, le traitement qui leur est infligé est absolument INDIGNE, PLUS JAMAIS. Si mon avis peut ne convertir que quelques personnes alors j'aurais réussi, car j'en ressors complètement attristé... Il existe un sanctuaire pour éléphants sur cette mème île, c'est l'espoir contre le désespoir total...

On nous a vendu un forfait dont l’activité se déroulait à plus de 3h de route de notre hôtel ! Plus de 3h à l’allé ainsi que 3h25 pour le retour ! (Alors qu’il n’y avait pas de gros bouchons) soit plus de 6h de route dans la journée ! On en pouvait plus ! On nous fait changer 2 fois de transports pour l’allé et 2 fois pour le retour (bus et camionnette). Niveau sécurité les chauffeurs sont fous ! (CRAZY DRIVERS!), surtout les chauffeurs qui nous amènent aux embarcations alors là c’est du grand n’importe quoi !!! (Plus de 10 personnes à l’arrière d’une camionnette ouverte sur l’arrière avec de très grandes vitesses à tel point que si un pneu explosait = tout le monde seraient mort au vu de la vitesse et du vide situé de part et d’autre de la route très dangereuse). Enfin, la sécurité pour le rafting très mauvaise, un client chinois ainsi que son enfant s’est noyé et l’urgence de le récupérer rapidement n’était pas là... ce sont nous clients qui s’en sont occupés. J’ai aimé le rafting et le « free flying fox » mais me sentait pas du tout en sécurité. Pour les toilettes = pleines de caca autour du wc avec des odeurs horribles je vous passe les détails... Le buffet thaï pas terrible. Ils demandent toujours des TIPS ! ... Pour résumer : agence à argent qui est prêt à tout pour avoir des clients même situés à plus de 3h de route ! (Certains clients avaient leur hôtel encore plus loin !!!) et la sécurité générale est très mauvaise.

הטיול עצמו נחמד יחסית , הנופים והמקדשים וכל מיני מסביב . הבעיה היא שהוא מתחיל ממופעי חיות כגון פילים טרופים ותנינים וזה מזעזע בלשון המעטה, היחס אליהם נוראי, משפיל וצבזה , ברחתי עם דמעות בעיניים אחרי שלוש דקות של תחילת מופע הפילים, מכאיבים להם ומושכים להם באוזניים בשביל לעשות תרגילים מטופשים לקהל.

When are you going to stopcruelty treating animals tourists would much prqefer to see elephants and monkeys in their natural habitat and are happy to pay to help with this. Thailand has a bad reputationt for its treatment of animals and you are making it worse.
