The place was virtually empty and given the performance of the bad it was not surprising. They had a look of Karaoke rock stars. Black leather, long hair scruffy clothes in need of a wash several weeks ago.
Musically, totally dreadful. So loud you could not speak to one another. Had one drink and left. When will these bars learn. Can’t the numbers drinking their tell them that the formula isn’t working. Sack the Band!!

I am sorry you were disappointed, but I would be interested to know exactly when you were in the bar.
The band that played the night before your review was our resident Filipino band, who have a female singer and play middle of the road and popular music without a shred of leather between them. The overwhelming response I hear from our customers is that they are very good.
On other nights, we have a Thai rock band who play a heavier style of music. They have 2 singers, one from 9 to about 11:30pm, and one from 11:30 to finish. The earlier singer does occasionally struggle with some of the numbers, but, again, the overwhelming response I hear in the bar is that they are quite good.
I also regularly get told that we manage the volume of the bands quite well. They are as loud as a live band should be at the stage area, but sitting outside on our deck area, or toward the back of the bar, the volume allows people to speak quite easily.
I see that very few of our bills show single drinks, and many of our customers are return customers.
I hope you will return, and have a more enjoyable experience.

Been to The Cave a few times in recent years always find live rock music band entertaining,staff are very pleasant and owner Rod is always good to have a yarn to , you have the feeling of actually being in a cave which is a different experience situated in the heart of LK Metro

I always visit the Cave whenever I am in Pattaya, awesome little place with a great regular band. Reasonably priced drinks and charming ladies.

I went in because of the music, friendly staff but not to busy. There was a variety of music well sang and I will go back.

This a small little bar in LK Metro that has fantastic live rock music. The band plays till late [1am]. The drinks are reasonably price & are in line with other bars in the area. The bar staff are really friendly & are not pushy with the drinks like others nearby.

The Cave is the rock bar of Pattaya, good bands most of the week and lovely friendly staff who always chat and always friendly as soon as you walk in. Highly recommend :-)

I like this bar but unfortunately there are girls in the bar that hassle you. It's absolutely fine to make people feel welcome by being pleasant, polite and friendly but I'm certain the staff in this bar know I don't go in here to pick up lady's because I've been in here plenty of times over the last few months and never show any interest in the girls for anything other than having a bit of friendly conversation.
Unfortunately this doesn't stop them hassling me.
The band's in the cave are always good rock bands and I'm so sad that I couldn't just go into the bar and drink beer and enjoy the band,
This should really be a no hassle bar. I would have spent a few nights in here on my 2 week holiday but after one night I didn't feel comfortable going back.

If you like rock music but you don't feel like wading through the sea of humanity on Walking Street to get to Hot Tuna, this is a great alternative. This live music bar is located in LK Metro - it's small, so keep your eyes out for it amidst the string of go-go bars.
Drinks are reasonably priced (Chang goes for 55 baht during happy hour), and the house band plays from 8.30 onwards. The band is clearly skilled, and they cover a pretty decent repertoire of classic rock ranging from AC/DC to Hendrix, with a bit of Metallica thrown in. They do try to entertain requests.
