Indigo Store is my favorite store in Vietnam. Everything is handmade ( including the patterns on the clothes )and they use a special flower to dye their clothes. If you like something and want it in a different size or pattern, they will hand make it for you . I simply love this store. Be prepared to spend money.

「藍」と店頭に表示してあり、うっかり通り過ぎるところでした。麻やシルクに藍染めしたものや、絞り、など、日本でも着られそうなものがたくさんありました。日本の着物から作ったアオザイはとても素敵でした。麻のワンピースを試着したかったのですが、あまりにも暑くて汗をかいていたので、遠慮してしまいました。次に行ったら絶対に購入したいです。

短い滞在のハノイで2回 足を運びました。ホーチミンよりお洒落なお店がないので残念に思っていたところ この店でお買い物を楽しみめました。上の階の工場があるので 気に入った色でワンピースを作って翌日ホテルに届けてくれました。藍染も上階で染めてます。よく見ると素敵商品があり とても楽しかったです。

This place has very nice, locally made fabric and clothing. Very much worth visiting while in Hanoi.

I purchased the most beautiful dress from this store that I have since received so many compliments on! I'm a larger girl and struggled to find clothes that fit me in Vietnam, but the clothes they make here are light and loose and easy to wear. The staff were absolutely wonderful.

Loin du shopping de base cette boutique vend des textiles venant de minorités locales, elle réalise aussi une collection de vêtements en soie ou coton, dans des formes traditionnelles (ao dai) ou contemporaine. En discutant avec le personnel on apprend également qu'Indigo store se soucie d'acheter aux justes prix aux minorités, emploie des sourds muets pour la couture etc... Je recommande vivement à condition d'y accorder le budget.

The items are exquisitely crafted, attention to detail. From scarves, shawls, clothes, linens, it is definitely worth a visit. Only a $2 taxi ride from old town. Very reasonably priced as well.

I had passed this store and was a little intimidated thinking that I couldn't afford anything. I couldn't resist passing this place a second time, so I had to go in. Wow, was I impressed. The service was incredible. There is a wealth of product for both home and fashion.
MY ONLY REGRET IS THAT I DIDN'T BUY MORE!
I was given great insight in to the people who made the pieces and the many pieces they offered including vintage pieces.
We try to spend money in places that contribute to a great good and knowing that these are made by indigenous people of Vietnam. Can't wait to come back and buy more!

If you love Japanese indigo styles, and ethnic organic Vietnamese antique clothing, you will appreciate this beautiful small store filled with many treasures for men as well as women. The variety of hand dyed indigo batiks are both plentiful, creative, and beautifully executed. It is hard to decide what you can’t live without. I found a beautiful coat/ dress in cotton that they reproduced in organic cotton and delivered to my hotel door a few hours later along with a dress that the wonderful tailor tweaked to my size. As I am leaving in the morning, I had my reservations but the items appeared before the expected time.
The store also has pearls from the Mekong Delta set in interesting settings, pillow covers, bags, runners, gorgeous scarves, etc.
I was thrilled to find the store on our last day in this amazing country.the sales staff was also very helpful.

Indigo will not dye chemical fibers such as polyester at all. We can dye only organic materials, such as cotton, hemp, silk and so on.
Even if the material is labeled as 100% organic cotton such as T-shirts, there is a possibility that some other material may be mixed in, and the dyeing may not be beautiful.
For this reason, we purchase directly from producers, ethnic minority people in Northern Vietnam, with whom we have been doing trade for more than 20 years, and collect only materials that we can use surely and safely.
In addition, indigo is colored when microorganisms are activated by fermentation.
When the microorganisms die, the entire jar of indigo rots.
It takes a lot of time and effort to prepare the indigo and the materials.
If the materials are brought in from outside, we have to clean and pre-treat the materials, prepare indigo dye in a separate jar, and dye them separately.
For these reasons, we cannot guarantee the results will be beautiful.
