A part of our trip ( hao long bay) wasn’t paid for by the company and s we left the boat she rang me and said there had been an error, and would I pay $350 and she would repay me the next day! I was swindled, it spoilt my whole holiday and I,m still waiting!!

DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING WITH THIS AGENCY!

I am sad to read many reviews here from happy holidayers that didn't get what they paid for.

I represent a tour operator in southern Thailand, a few months back we were contacted by this company and Thuy to arrange tours for their clients.

All went well until payment, delays and excuses. Still no payment a day before arrival.

Programs kept changing and dodgy emails and phone calls one day before agreed services saying she had problems to pay but would do the following morning.

She wasted hours of our time calling back and forth trying to negotiate payment terms less than 24 hours prior tour.

I understand that many people fell for her lies. She is very, very convincing to the untrained eye.

This lady was pushing and trying everything to avoid payment. Without payment we had to cancel the tour.

We got contacted directly by the guests which told us their horror story dealing with this agent. Problems from day one!

We arranged the promised tour and transfer to the group but sadly they had to pay us what they already paid this company.

This was back in November and I am surprised that there are so many new reviews and no actions taken against this company!

After being recommended to use Vietnam Royal Tourism and Thuy I booked for my husband and I to go for 5 nights in Ho Chi Minh City and 6 nights in Hoi An with an internal flight to Da nang. Great communication to start with, with flexibility with what we wanted to do. Booked and paid in October for our trip in February, as we were offered good discounts and some added bonus of meals included. At the time of paying I asked for confirmation of Hotels booked which I got but noticed that they had not be paid for by VRT. Thuy's excuse being because they offered free cancellation that the Hotels wouldn't be paid for until nearer our Holiday. I touched base with Thuy just 10 days before our Holiday and got no response!!! The week of our Holiday I got in touch with the Hotels direct and the airline to find that they had all been booked BUT none had been paid for, so the bookings were cancelled. Then read all the reviews on trip advisor and realised we had been scammed.
So The night before our international flight I had to rebooked all our accommodation and flights again and pay again!!!!! After more emails and getting in touch with the consulate (who I haven't heard from) I received an email from Thuy, asking if I could confirm. I asked her what I was confirming as nothing had been booked! More emails and she said she would refund us our trip. Still waiting!!!! The Hotels both tried to help us get this company to pay but they didn't pick up their phone. Anyway don't book with this company and to note that they haven't heard the last of me! What a terrible advertisement for Vietnam, for a truly beautiful country.

Thuy is a nightmare. My boyfriend and I booked back in July. Our three country tour began in Vietnam and ended with us paying for our last 7 nights of our 17 day holiday nightmare. She promised to meet us when we arrived to give us all of our hotel and internal flight confirmations, never happened. She said she upgraded our first hotel, not the case though the staff at the hotel helped us a lot, more to come on that. On our first full day a driver and tour guide were supposed to take us around Hanoi, only the tour guide turned up. He took us around by taxi then half way through Thuy called to ask if we can give the guide $60. We refused as she had all of our money upfront and what was the point of us paying her if we were going to have to pay the guides. Next day we had a great time in HaLong bay. After our 4 hour drive back to Hanoi we were supposed to catch a flight to Hue. A driver was supposed to meet us at 5p, but did not show up till 6;30p. But get this, the hotel in Hanoi got on the phone to Thuy to ask her what was going on, she kept stalling them, she said she would come to the hotel to give us everything we needed. She never did. At 6:30p, when the driver arrived, he took us to another hotel, we figured out that she did not book our flights. She had us on a flight to DaNang the next morning where we had to pay for our checked luggage on our flight. So we missed out on Hue! The new Hotel in Hanoi, she did not pay for so we had to, we are still waiting for our money back on that and the last 7 days of our trip. In DaNang we were sent on another wild goose chase for our trip to the golden bridge, we were shuffled from one bus to another, waiting on random streets for someone to pick us up. Somehow we made it to Cambodia where she said she had handled everything and that we won't have any issues moving forward. Sigh. There she asked if we could pay the driver, she sent me a fake email transfer notice of money. Can you fathom that? We refused to give any money to the driver who was a really nice man (who knows if she paid him). From Cambodia we went to Bangkok, I received an email on arrival to say that no driver was going to show and that we had to make our own way to the hotel, she was adamant that at the hotel, the room was under my name and not my boyfriend's. When we checked in we found out we had two rooms. The room under my name was not paid for and the room under my boyfriend's was, so we took that room. The next morning she told us that a driver would meet us at 10a...guess what? She told us 10 mins before 10a that no one was coming and for us to see the city ourselves. At the end of that day my boyfriend and I were exhausted as this was not the trip we planned. We paid Thuy to take care of us and she did not. That night we decided to part ways with her. We sent her a text and email to say that if we cancel now with her she would pay the remaining balance of our trip which we calculated at $2500. She agreed. We ended up paying for the rest of our trip banking on getting that money back from her. Yup you guessed it...we are still waiting for our money. She was quick to respond when we were just looking but after we paid, she was our biggest fear. We saw so money other people having a blast with their tour guides and drivers. We had tour guide envy among other things. We made the most of the trip but this is not what we paid for nor how we like to vacation. She is a con, please be aware.

Nothing more to say but steer clear off Thuy, this company and another one named August Travel. She takes your money and then runs for the hills. Luckily we were protected with travel insurance, but every day we had to fend for ourselves as she canceled reservations, never made them in the first place.

Very Bad Experience in Cambodia

We booked and paid for 5 days for Vietnam and 5 days in Cambodia in November 2018. The entire money was paid on arrival. There was not to complaint much for Vietnam part but on arrival in Cambodia, the hotels in Pnom Penh as well as in Siem Reap said that they have not received any payment. The tour operators were also not paid for. On contacting this agency, lady Thuy suggested that I should pay for all this and promised that she will pay me back on my credit card. In spite of several reminders, I have not recieved any money so far! My other friend, who could not take up the trip also demanded the refund since SHE HAS NOT PAID ANYTHING IN ADVANCE, SHE MUST REFUND THE ENTIRE MONEY. She has not done so. These days she is not even responding to any mails.

Vietnam Royal Tourism took money & still no confirmation

We booked and paid for our trip in December 2018 to travel in 2019. We have yet to receive hotel or flights confirmation. Thuy was very responsive up until payment was paid 12/2018.
Since than, I called/Skyped/WhatsApp and emailed for 1.5 months. She finally responded a few days ago and said she will get it to my today after I posted a question how to report her on Hanoi Tourism. It’s been since December we asked for our confirmations. I will update my rating once she does follow through. But for now it’s beyond terrible if a rating 0. I hope VietNam Royal Tourism and Hanoi people will treat tourist with more respect and attract more tourist!

It’s a shame if it fail to, Vietnam is a beautiful country and can bring value to their people from tourist.

VIET NAM ROYAL TOURISM or AUGUST TRAVEL are just the same SCAM so please do not book the tour/ticket/hotel with them. They will take your money then book services for you without paying the travel companies. Then, when you start your trip, disaster starts, you will be kept asking to pay the service which you had paid, your flight would be changed at last minutes without prenotice. she will keep promising to refund you the money at the end but you will never get it back like many other previous guests. She even scams the guides, transportation agency, hotel as well as many other people who are too kind just same like you. SO, AVOID THAT SCAMMER AT ALL COST.

TOTALLY SCAM!! Avoid them at any costs!

Booked a private tour in north Vietnam for me and my wife with them and it was good until the last day. At first, the lady contacted us via email very quick and seemed very nice and kind, supported us with every requests and earned our trust. It seemed a good beginning of a holiday and we paid her 100% before coming to Vietnam. The car, the driver and the tour guide were very friendly, and we have had a good time with their services. On the last day, before we went to the airport, the guide told us to pay all the costs for everything, and the disaster began. It turned out that the driver and the guide are victims, too. The lady keep promising to pay them before the tour ends but she didn't do anything. After a lot of phone calls, she persuaded me to pay them and she will refund me all the money. OK you can call me stupid, but what I supposed to do in that situation? Our flight is coming and we weren't not let go if we don't pay for the guide and the driver, so I had to withdraw more money to give them. I don't blame the guide and the driver cause they were hired and they don't know the lady, either, just do their job to get paid. It is more than 1 month after we come home but still receive nothing from that b *tch, no email reply, phone was locked. After seeing other reviews, I understand that there is no tour company, just a fake name with one woman behind everything. It is totally a scam and don't be stupid like us.
