I learnt so much. Part of Vietnamese history and such a touching story. However, take a guide with to really learn or you will mainly just look. I had a very good guide. So interesting. Located in district 3. Highly recommend to learn more about Vietnamese history.

This figurative monument is in memoral of Thich Quang Duc, an opposition icon against the South Vietnam regime. The graphic illustration of Duc setting himself in fire has arisen global attention on the corrupt Ngo Dinh Diem regime. The erection of a Duc statue serves as excellent reminder of history.

Paying homage to this brave monk who made the ultimate sacrifice by setting himself afire to protest the persecution of Buddhists in Vietnam. I remember reading about this when it happened those many years ago.
