Le temple celebre l'une des plus meritante princesse du Vietnam, et il est tout a son honneur. Beau et imposant, sur un site magnifique, il incite au recueillement et a la contemplation, en memoire d'une princesse sacrifiee pour la patrie.

A hidden gem

This place is a hidden gem and not many of the locals seem to know it. We paid a driver for the day to take us various places and he had to follow his sat nav! There seems to be regular tombs and temples in Hue on the tourist trail (some free/some not), but are always crowded. By comparison this beautiful site just outside the city costs a matter of pence to enter and is a beautiful haven of peace, tranquility and stunning architecture, pools and carvings. It is a huge site and you could spend hours there. Apart from the man at the gate I saw no one else there. How this is not more well known is amazing to me.

Ring the Peace Bell!

It's a challenging climb on a hot day, as most days are in Vietnam, but it is great to get up to the Peace Bell and ring it. The other temple buildings are gorgeous and well kept (spotless). I was told the princess it commemorates is venerated because she renounced married life to help humanity

Quiet in a pine forest

Beautiful buildings, great buddha sculptures, lovely HUGE park a place to pray, meditate and relax. BTW there is free WIFI.

Must see!

How this place isn't higher up on the list of things to see in Hue is beyond me...

The drive here was great. After some crappier main roads you turn onto small paths that lead through peaceful patches of forest and cemetery.

The entry is only 30 000 VND, waaay cheaper than the other recommend places, and I saw only 5 other people in the time I was there- all of them employees or monks living there.

It is beautiful. It's hidden between massive pine trees an beautiful gardens. Pleasant smells come from all around and all you hear is nature, occasionally interrupted by the ringing of the Peace Bell. If you brave the steps to the top of the hill you'll find a monk who's ringing this massive bell every 40-60 seconds. He'll also encourage you to ring it a couple of times and partake in the effort to spread peace just like its sound.

I enjoyed this way more than the other temples and tombs I visited.

The temple was just around the corner from our hotel so easy walking distance. Great architechure and so old. Good to see.

Peaceful and majestic!
Went there spontaniousely today, not knowing what to expect but we were very pleasently surprised! Beautiful architecture and a lot of pathways leading to different gems. We managed to go all the way up and ring the ”Peace Bell” which was a lot of fun but me, not being a member of the gym, was quite exhausted. All and all, time and money well spent, definitely recommend. Have a great day!

Magical place

We got a taxi from hue which dropped us at the gate. It was almost deserted except for a girl in the ticket office (30k each) and a couple of other staff in the extensive grounds. The gardens and buildings are attractively laid out and the temple was very beautiful and well looked after. It was a wet day and many of the paths were very slippery so we didn't go right up to the top to see the bell. The atmosphere of the whole place was very peaceful. We were wondering how easy it would be to get a taxi but no problem - the girl at the gate got one for us. Definitely worth a trip but try to choose a dry day! The approach road is very rural but goes through acres of cemeteries- some tombs looked very old. A fascinating afternoon trip.
