This was a well crafted tour of many photographic highlights of Bangladesh. Hasan, being a photographer himself, designed an itinerary to take advantage of the best light at various locations. The tour included the Dhaka, Barisal, Chittagong, Bandarban, Cox Bazar areas. It wasn’t just all about pictures though. We often discussed culture, economy and politics, which was often enlightening. My favorite parts of the tour were being able to observe industries like, ship repair, brick making, rice processing, and fishing. We could walk right into these operations as they were working, and take photos. Bangladeshis are some of the friendliest and most hard working people I have met and are generally happy to have their photos taken. Our itinerary didn’t go entirely as planned, our permit to Rangamati denied, and ferries fully booked, but Hasan was able to make more than adequate adjustments to other locations. Since we couldn’t ride the ferry he brought us to the port at different times of the day when we could observe loading and off loading, the most active and photogenic times. Hasan is organized and professional, and I wouldn’t hesitate to go on this tour. This was my second trip to Bangladesh, my first 22 years ago. On this trip, I wanted to show my teenage son the country, and give him more context on his life in the US.

Hasan and Piku were amazing, kind, knowledgeable and generous hosts. Their tour shows you the real Dhaka - including a walk through old Dhaka and the vibrant and many local markets such as textiles and printing presses, a very fun ride in one of the “bike taxis” - a common local method of transportation, a river rowboat tour from the busy harbors that transfer locals to various cities around Bangladesh, visits to the local palace and various churches and mosques and a great local meal in one of the most authentically local places in town. Dhaka is not a touristy city - but for someone looking to experience how the people of the 8th largest country in the world live, this tour will show you the real deal.

I am thankful that God has given me the opportunity to travel to all seven continents including 115 countries and territories where I have experienced a variety of venues and services. Most recently I was privileged to visit Bangladesh with owner and chief guide of Nijhoom Tours, Raw Husan as my personal guide. Husan is an energetic get-things-done man who is very well versed in history and culture. He made visits to historic and cultural sites informative and enjoyable. His established relationships with venue officials gave us easy access and allowed us to tour areas that are not open to everyone. He was observant of my interests and capabilities so he could make any necessary adjustments to our schedule. He is genuinely interested in his clients and enjoys conversations about shared interests. On one occasion one of his apprentices joined us and it gave me a chance to see how he values and respects his employees making every effort to make their employment a positive experience. His van driver was skilled in negotiating hectic traffic. I would expect that anyone choosing Nijhoom Tours would also give it and Husan an excellent review. Visitors should note that Husan is a strong advocate for his country and culture.

We did a 1 day tour with Hasan in September. I had such a great time! Hasan started our day taking us to one of his usual breakfast spots, followed by a tour of the city. One thing that really stood out was Hasan’s deep knowledge of Bangladesh and its history. He was able to connect the dots and weave in history from the Indian subcontinent, giving us a full picture of how Bangladesh came to be and why it is the way it is today. His passion for a brighter future for Bangladesh was immense, and made me feel like I wanted to be a part of it!
Logistically, it was perfect. We never had to wait too long for the car, and there was always water available. I left feeling like I had a better understanding of Bangladesh from a local’s perspective, and I’m thankful for Hasan’s care and passion.

Took the Dhaka City Tour, it was really really good. I got to see the attractions of Dhaka, but the tour was an attraction in itself. Very professionally carried out, highly recommended.

I went with a couple of colleagues to a day trip to Sonargaon and Panam City. Hasan was very responsive and organized in the lead-up to the trip. The van that we were in was comfortable. Besides the amazing architecture, Hasan really knew his stuff around explaining the history of the sites as well as answering all the questions that we had about Bangladesh, and served as photographer on request with good humor. The sites were beautiful - and included a boat trip - and it was great to see and experience a different side to Bangladesh.

The wild streets of Old Dhaka were a treat, especially when guided through them by Nijhoom Tours. We experienced so many historic sites - Lalbagh Fort, the Pink Palace, a mosque and Hindu Temple. We experienced Dhaka like a local, something we never could have done on our own.
The entire day was special but a highlight was the boat trip where we could see daily life happening on the shores. Our guide was friendly, fun and so knowledgeable.
Thank you for a remarkable and memorable day!

Nijhoom is a very professional and reliable tour operator. I booked a two day city tour of Dhaka with them which definitely exceeded my expectations. Opu, my tour guide, was really great and went the extra mile to show me many places I didn't expect.

A very interesting experience to visit Bangladesh. It’s very crowded, but the people are super friendly. We had six days and went to the northwest and saw many cultural and historical sites. Our guide Opu and driver Arij both were excellent. Riding in a car is quite an experience by itself! The food was excellent and our hotels were very nice especially considering the country does not have a significant tourist infrastructure. Nijhoom Tours handled everything and responded quickly to inquiries. we stopped at all kinds of interesting places, including a local wedding! I would highly recommend the tour company for an in-depth experience of Bangladesh.

My wife and I went on a tailor-made travel program in Bangladesh, organized by Nijhoom Tours. Raw Hasan's planning of the tour was brilliant. It was carefully organized to cover every important sight in the country -- from the chaos of Dhaka, to the life of hill tribes in Chittagong, and the ancient heritage of the country. The whole itinerary was well-planned and executed and everything went like clockwork. We not only thoroughly enjoyed the journey, but also learnt a lot about the country and its culture.
The hotels where we stayed were very good, and the car was very spacious and extremely comfortable. Our guide Opu Been had a lot to say about the country and its culture, and he was also extremely courteous and warm. Our driver Arif was equally good at the wheel.
Bangladesh has a lot to offer the traveller -- the chaotic life of Dhaka, tribal life in the villages of Chittagong Hills, the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bagerhat, the old capital Sonargaon, life on the rivers, etc.
Bangladesh is however a country for the discerning traveller, it's certainly not a sun-and-sand destination. In spite of many highly interesting ancient heritage sights, the overwhelming impression of the country that remains in mind is one of chaos and poverty in the capital Dhaka where tens of thousands of pedalled rickhshaws wait in line for scarce custom and even salaried people hang around aimlessly seeking 'tips'.
Women appeared completely absent in social surroundings. Restaurants, for example, had groups of men sitting around chatting with not even the shadow of a woman anywhere, so much so that I kept asking the guide where all the women were. In contrast to the mainstream Muslim parts of the country, women appeared prominently in the foreground in tribal areas where people are predominantly Buddhist.
Bangladesh is a country well worth a visit, if only to learn how a small nation the size of England, but with more than three times as many people, survives in the face of seemingly impossible odds.

Would you have a guide available to show me around from morning to late afternoon in Dhaka on the 17th of May? I recently began a YouTube channel and it would be very useful to have a guide who could help me find great content. Anyways if you have someone available on that day, how much would it be?

we are 4 very senior citizen from kolkata . we would like to tour bangladesh .the programme duration is to be 7/8 days covering dhaka,comilla,chitagong,coxbazar,rangamati,bandarban etc and back to dhaka. the time is around 21st february 2016.
we will arrange visa, train/air fare from kolkata and can start the trip either from dhaka or chitagong.since all the 4 persons are over 70 years ,we will like to avoid car journey over night from dhaka to chitagong or other way. may be a train journey can be thought of.
one of us is vegetarian and other three takes only fish and egg.
we request you day to day itenary and a cost estimate covering meet at entry point,hotel ,transport,breakfast,dinner,entry fees ,toll charge,parking fees ,gruity to driver and guides etc

My son is interested in going to Dhaka for research for his architecture thesis. I am interested in getting him a guide and probably a driver to take him around town. We are American and do not speak the language. Can your company provide this? How much would it cost? He was interested in coming next month around the 21st of August- to about the 25th of August.
