We got picked up and went with 2 other people. The guide was fantastic, the lunch was awesome, the animals were all cool especially Lucky the Elephant!
It is a great way to see the countryside on the way there and back, we got to eat fresh peanuts roasted on the way from a roadside stall, they were great.
Brought some bananas to feed the animals and the monkeys jumped into our van and stole half them which was fun.
It rained but it was warm and we had umbrella so didn't matter.
I would recommend to anyone, kids would love it I think.

We booked a group tour for 7 adults and 4 children ranging from 1 year old to 8 year old. Aram, our guide was very patient with us, especially when the kids stopped longer at different points. Aram's knowledge of the animals was really good. The food was plenty and tasty. We had a really good time. I would highly recommend the tour to Phnom Tamao by Betelnut tour.

We went to Phnom Tamao with Aram last Saturday and had such a brilliant time. We were given a traditional Cambodian Krama at the beginning of the trip (a lovely takehome) and had an easy drive out to the wildlife centre. The rescue centre aims to return animals to the wild where possible once healed of their injuries. Overall its a great way to learn about Cambodian wildlife and Aram and Vathana have a wealth of knowledge on the animals' stories which makes the trip all the better! Highly recommend!

We spent a great day with Vathana and Aram. They split us in 2 small groups (English speaking/Khmer speaking) so that even my parents who only speak Khmer could follow the tour. We stayed with Vathana. Without her guidance, there's no point visiting Phnom Tamao as there is little or no explanation in front of each animal. She shared her passion and true understanding of the animals conditions. Although my parents are Khmer, they learned so much about their own country via Vathana's knowledge. Kudos to the homemade food. One of the best cooking we had during our stay. I would recommend Betelnut tours for any anyone staying in Phnom Penh.

We had a great time on this tour and would recommend it to anyone wanting to see wildlife while staying in Phnom Penh. We were lucky enough to have a private tour and the animals were well cared for and happy. The guide told us valuable information as well as knowing their names and their diets, so we could feed them the right things. Lunch was great. I really encourage you to go with this tour, rather than on your own to get the best experience.

We had a great time with our guide Vathana - we were lucky to have a private tour and the park was almost empty so we could really enjoy it. The animals are well taken care of and the tour guide gives a lot of information and answers all questions about the amazing wildlife. We also ate a homemade lunch (to be honest - the best Cambodian food we got to eat during our stay so far) and chilled on hammocks. I recommend everyone that wants to visit the park to take advantage of this amazing tour, the park is huge and not well marked, so if you go without a guide you will miss out a lot.

We have a great day with out host Vathana. We were very lucky as we were only us 2 so we have our private guide for the day :P
The ride to the Rescue center is around 1hour but we were chatting all the way so past really fast. Once we arrived to the center to bought some bananas from the sellers there (recommended as you can feed most of the animals and was only 1 dollar). Vathana guide you through the center explaining us the story of the animals and how the come to the center.
After a while, we have a really good homemade lunch cooked by herself and the we went to see the rest of the center with the elephants, tigers, beers, ect.
Don't expect a luxury center. You are in a wild center in Cambodia than run only with donations and small entry fee so it could be done with some TLC but the experience is unique.
Totally recommended.

我在二十天前预订了这个tour，他们给我答复了邮件并告知了pick up point。但是等到了出发日，我到了集合地点，发现那个青旅已经关门了，我不得不找当地人借电话联系他们。他们告知我在原来的地方等2分钟，他们更换了集合地址(我的柬埔寨电话无法通话)。然而等了二十分钟，一个人都没有。我不得不重新去找到那个借我电话的当地人。拨通电话后他告知我，10分钟前他联系过我借的那个手机，没有人回复，他们就自己出发了？？？？并让我自己坐tuktuk过去。
没有任何赔偿，甚至怀疑是不是racism？

We had a brilliant day at the wildlife sanctuary and got to see and meet so many new animals. We both received a local scarf at the beginning of the tour which was also a nice touch.
Lunch was delicious both walked away stuffed and we had a supply of water all day long as and when we needed it!
We got to meet lucky the elephant on her walk which was truely magical, but we also loved the gibbons, otters and the bears!

It was the last day of our vacation here in cambodia. And after 3 weeks full of exploring temples, jungle and beaches, its hard to top up this experiences.
This tour did it easily. Let me start with our sooo accommodating host. Vatana picked us up in time to start the tour. Everybody got a cambodian scarf, so she had already rhe full attention of our younges daughter.
The ride to the park was long, but time passed by fast, since we had a nice small talk.
Arrived in the park we found our selfes in the middle of monkeys and deers, without any fence inbetween us. The first part of the tour started and we really saw a lot.
The knowledge of Vatana, regarding this park was mindblowing. She saw hidden animals, that you would never find, exploring by yourself. She was also so patient with our kids and helping them to capture everything.
After the native lunch we proceded to the highlights, the elefants, tigers and bears.
As lucky we are, we met "lucky" the elefant on her afternoon walk and had a unbelievable encounter with this patient giants.
All in all i would highly recommend to book this tour with betelnut. Its a very reasonable price, since everything is included and vatana herself seems to know everything about this park.

My wife and i will be in Phnom Penh for a day while doing a 7 night Mekong river cruise , what is the cost for 2 of us if we just do a morning tour of Phonm Tamao wildlife centre also give us cost for a full day , would we get picked up from the boat or do we need to meet in town

We will be in Siem Reap. Can we be picked up from our hotel in Siem Reap. How much would half day and full day tours cost.
Looking at the map this sanctuary/zoo looks closer to S.R than Phnom Penh?

Hi,
The rescue center is much closer to Phnom Penh than to Siem Reap. There is a town called Siemreap (1 word) nearby the center. I think that's were the confusion comes from. It's about 6 hours to get to Phnom Penh from Siem Reap, so we can't pick you up from there.
A full day tour is $40USD per person. If you want to do a half day tour, you can contact us to make a private booking. Then we can do a tour at the times you prefer.
