Please be warn that this main airport duty free shops selling international goods DOES NOT TAKE THEIR OWN SRI LANKAN CURRENCY and everything is priced in US dollars! It’s madness! Imagine being in Your own country airport and they don’t take your own currency?? How embarrassing and the officials should do something about this! The service was as usual very good amongst the staff. I was left with rupees as the exchange rate into sterling was so poor and you have to pay a commission unlike the high streets where it’s free. You can use Sri Lankan rupees in the other smaller shops but all prices are around double of what you pay in the high streets include F&B. Be warn and pass this onto other travellers. :-)

Sri Lankans are known for their esthetic sensibilities and artistry.
And here my friends you will find the perfect mix of the above.
This was my 6th visit to the store ( I have been residing for a good 3 years here)
Jewelry pieces are interesting and there is something for everyone!
Prices are reasonable and every piece comes with a certificate authenticating the purchase.
Folks-don’t miss it when in Colombo.

We got to the store on a Saturday morning, we were among the first visitors and we were not impressed. We found it to be quite large but dusty, with a large variety of mostly unattractive items, poorly displayed. Perhaps it is just a matter of taste, but it was an experience we are unlikely to repeat...

Great place. Good service. The staff is very friendly. Lot of varieties of products and wide range of design both conventional and modern. Good and value for the money. Worth a visit. It is typical and fun.
