My husband and I just spent the better part of three days exploring many fascinating nooks and crannies and delectable tastes of Istanbul with Taci. We took two tours (the kebab tour and the spice market and lunch tour) and one cooking class with Taci of Turkish Flavours and they were a fabulous introduction to this enormous, bustling and vibrant city. We were the only guests on the kebab tour; there were four of us for the spice market and lunch tour; and, six of us for the cooking class. We felt we had Taci’s full attention on all of them. She is every bit as vibrant as the city she knows so well and is generous and enthusiastic in sharing its secrets. I genuinely cannot imagine a better introduction to Istanbul.

I booked a Turkish cooking class. By pure luck I was the only one in the class so Taci and I met at the Spice Market and we walked around and went to a Spice Store where I got to smell all the different spices smell teas and taste sweets and meet the shop keepers. We then had a wonderful ferry ride to the home where we met Daria and cooked several dishes. I am a vegetarian and they were so accommodating made sure I could eat everything we made. They were very good teachers and so fun and nice. I learned so much about making Turkish food and got a little recipe book to keep. I highly recommend this company and trip. The Turkish cooking class was so fun. I am an American female traveling solo in Turkey and this experience was perfect.

If you are going to take a food tour in Istanbul it must be this one. Ms Taciser has twelve years of experience giving tours & she is a spectacular guide. Because of cancellations I was the only guest on my tour and I had a truly unforgettable experience that I would recommend to every traveller. I cannot speak highly enough of Ms Taciser, her local knowledge, and her welcoming and encouraging personality. Istanbul can be overwhelming but with her guidance I felt capable and confident enjoying the city. I particularly recommend this experience to other vegetarians. I am so glad I scheduled this for the first day of my trip.
If you like to try delicious foods and you want to have the best possible introduction to the city, this tour is essential. Do not hesitate.

Truly a special experience you won’t get anywhere else. Ms Taciser is incredibly knowledgeable and took us to what can only be described as the best spice shop in the world. We were then whisked away to the Asian side of Istanbul to a great neighborhood and beautiful flat. Ms Taciser and Ms Daria instructed us on how to make numerous traditional Turkish dishes, each one better than the next. Their culinary skills and know how we’re matched by the interesting and stimulating conversation. A true gem and MUST DO in Istanbul.

What a great experience! Taciser met us at the Spice Bazaar and took us under her wing. We had just gotten to Istanbul and she helped us get the İstanbulkart and shortened our learning curve in many different ways. She went way beyond our expectations. And, the cooking class was so much fun. We made delicious recipes with delightful people. We highly recommend this class!

This was the best way for us to begin our trip to an unfamiliar and exotic country. The cooking tour and class made us feel immediately welcome and at home. Preparing for the cooking class brought us new insights into the complexities of Turkish cooking. Preparing the food in such a welcoming environment provided us with comfort, insights into great food and kindness of Turkish people. After our tour with Turkish Flavours the rest of our time in Turkey only got better, a great way to begin our journey to this beautiful country.

If you want to do a legit cooking class using real ingredients and traditional Turkish recipes, this is your place. What a fantastic experience. The communication in pre-booking, the meeting point, the Spice Market tour and lessons and finally the cooking. Al outstanding. I had a special request to make a dish that I had eaten as a 5 year old child. 52 years later, I created the same dish in this kitchen and it literally brought me to tears. I am a published chef. I didn't want some tourist cooking class. I wanted to get in there and get dirty, totally hands on. This provided that opportunity. I can't express to you how much I learned. My wife, NOT a big cooking enthusiast, also had a wonderful time. I guess my message here is DO IT. There is something here for everyone that wants to learn. Great staff, great facility (in a beautiful private home), AMAZING food. I've cooked all over the world and this was one of my top 10 experiences in any kitchen.

My husband and I just returned from a fun-filled, wonderful trip to Turkey, for two weeks. The travel part was organized by Argeus (em: Selcuk@Argeus.com) and the culinary part by Turkish Flavors (www.turkishflavors.com). The tour operators made every effort to expose us to all that Turkey has to offer in that time frame - culture, history, scenery, and of course, a wide variety and plenty of good, nutritious Mediterranean food. We attended several cooking classes and demos, which were very enjoyable. We were taken to several markets and spice bazaars, where we were introduced to a dizzying array of colors, sights and delicious smells of Turkey. On the cultural side, we visited all the places of interest in Istanbul, took cruises on the Bosphorus and the Euphrates, visited Sanliurfa (archaeological sites, Abraham's Cave and the pools of holy carp and the beehive shaped sun dried mud brick houses), Gaziantep (where we had breakfast at a pastry shop, tasted delicious wild pistachio coffee and the best baklava), Cappadocia (where we went on an optional hot air balloon ride at sunrise over the legendary fairy chimneys and spent a few nights in a cave hotel, then on to Izmir (the beautiful sea side resort on the shores of the turquoise blue waters of the Aegean sea, visiting Ephesus and the house of the Virgin Mary). We were sorry to bid farewell to Turkey as we came away with loads of photos of food and places to relive the trip.
We highly recommend Turkish Flavors and Argeus, for anyone wanting to experience all that Turkey has to offer.

A lovely afternoon of cooking to experience authentic and fun Turkish recipes. My entire family (6 people) of all different culinary skills fit in the kitchen and had a wonderful time. We learned about different techniques, a variety of Turkish dishes, and had wonderful conversations with the leader. Would definitely recommend.
We also went on the Foodie Sailing Cruise, found on the Turkish Flavours website, for 4 nights with my family. The views and bays were incredible and the water was nice and warm. You felt like royalty as you sail across the Mediterranean and Aegean. The captain and skipper were absolutely wonderful - giving us great conversations, food, and facts about the surrounding area. The experience was so good you want to stay forever, and for a moment may consider full-time boat life. Would definitely recommend for all.

SPICE BAZAAR & KADIKOY MARKET TOUR WITH GOURMET LUNCH
Everyday 9:30 am - 2:30 pm
A gourmet walking tour through two markets and on two continents -Europe & Asia!
Depart for a visit to the Spice Bazaar and nearby attractions. This extensive market was built in the 17th century to finance the upkeep of the nearby mosque, Yeni Cami. The bazaar is often referred to as the "Egyptian Market" due to the fact that spices used to come to the market from India and Southeast Asia via Egypt. There is plenty to discover for the "foodie."
Then we will take a ferry to Kadıköy on the Asian side of Istanbul from Eminönü and walk through the historical Kadıköy market where there is plenty to discover for the "foodie. This market is one of İstanbul's most colorful, vibrant and accessible shopping spots. Many traders have been in business since the early to mid 1900s and the more famous ones really need no introduction.
We will wander to probably Kadıköy's, if not Istanbul's best-known restaurant amongst gourmets, to Çiya Sofrasi that specializes in Anatolian home cooked specialities, as well as a wider selection of Mediterranian food.
Çiya creates its menu from the kitchen memories of forgotten dishes, lost tastes and wiped -off-cultures which have been carried from hand to hand and from taste to taste.
The ingredients used in the dishes travel from the cities of Hatay and Gaziantep to arrive at your plate in Istanbul: aromatic red pepper, pistachios, chickpeas, olive oil and pomegranate molasses. Here we will enjoy a sumptuous meal of dishes by the reknown chef Musa and eventually hear the stories of his signature dishes; Zahter salad, kebab with pistachios, stuffed eggplant, babahannus, and many more.
After lunch we will take the ferry back to the European side.
A delicious gourmet walking tour in Istanbul with more than 25 delicacies you may not discover on your own! Please do not have a big breakfast on the day of your tour and make no dinner reservations.
Vegetarian diets are not challenging options for us – it's easy being green and tasting exciting Turkish vegetarian delicacies during this tour.
Price includes:Tour from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, ferry fares , tastings , a multi course lunch offering small portions of many dishes in Çiya Sofrasi.
Cost : USD 125.- per person

For God sake can't you make it easier to know the price of these things?

If you go to their website, the prices are on the cooking classes and food tour pages, as well as on the reserve now page. Prices range from 80-125 USD. I paid the equivalent in Turkish Lira (350 back in April 2016 for the cooking class). It is pricey, but well worth it. I am still cooking with the spices, and trying new Turkish recipes.

I think that the Trip Advisor website gives you a link to Turkish Flavours' website or displays its e-mail address- that's the place to send this question. I took the class earlier this year and enjoyed it very much, but don't have anything to do with making reservations to take it!

Hi, we are in Istanbul Turkey and not in El Gouna so we can not answer your question. Please try asking your question to someone who has visited El Gouna and Jungle Aqua Park previously.
