I was fortunate to have Alex as an excellent private guide and a "history professor" through Masada, part of Ein Gedi (and Dead Sea Scrolls NP) and the Dead Sea. (He was very sensitive to some of my physical limitations - much appreciated). Next day, Alex guided me through the highlights of Jerusalem - not a "Disney" tour, but rather a much valued unbiased interpretive journey through time.

Alex is an amazing tour guide, knowledgeable and takes the time to explain. But also knows when to skip over things that you already know.
Because of him we got to know Jerusalem so much better than before! And that’s exactly what we were after.
Also has a great sense of humour, and is great at singing (will do on request).
After the tour he gave us good tips about places to eat and drink.
He made the trip me and my best friend made together that much more special.

Twelve members of our family ranging for age 1-70 traveled to Israel over Pesach. We had met Alex over ZOOM at the recommendation of a friend who Alex had guided for one day. We were immediately impressed by his enthusiasm and knowledge, and hired him to guide us on our trip. We spent two days together in Jerusalem and then an additional four days traveling to the North and back to Tel-Aviv.
He excels at relating the history to what is being presented in front of you - with a highlight being his reflection on Josephus’ writings while standing at the very sites being referenced! No where was this more apparent than in Gamla, a tough hike but an important one in Israel ancient history.
Alex was a pleasure to work with in setting up the itinerary and was extremely helpful in making reservations at restaurants and sites. His fees are very reasonable and offer great value -especially for an English-speaking group of visitors - with his UK upbringing, and his fluent Hebrew.
Overall, we would highly recommend

Alex led my family of 5 (with kids ages 15, 13 and 10) on a three day tour in the Galilee and the Golan. Alex picked the tour stops (many felt off the beaten path) and the overarching theme of the trip, and we couldn't have been more pleased. Yes, he is a wealth of information, as other reviewers noted, but he was also able to weave together a great story for us that brought each site to life. Alex also connected us with memorable hands-on experiences, like a Druz cooking workshop (AMAZING), and a candle making workshop in Tzfat. All in all, he made the trip up north easy, engaging, meaningful and fun for my whole family. Thanks, Alex!

Alex is a knowledgeable, charming guide who makes history come alive. The experience was like being shown around by a native. My wife and I couldn’t have been more pleased.

The best tour guide ever!!! He does sing which can be a little scary! However, I highly recommend! We came on a school trip and it was a fantastic time!

So this was an eight day tour of the Holy land taken in October and split almost equally between Galilee and Jerusalem. Alex is incredibly knowledgeable and very hands on. I learnt an amazing amount.
A really super experience.I hope to book again & can totally recommend Alex.

My tip is have Alex as your guide! He imparted so much information in such an interesting and sometimes humerous way. He did not mind us asking any questions and could explain the somewhat tricky politics of the region. Thanks Alex. You are an excellent guide
