I wouldn’t recommend going here alone your better off going with a friend or in a group much more safer. This bar does have a lot of older people particularly men..so beware. Also the music here also needs major improvement

Thanks for your comment. It is probably wise in all the bars in Tonga not to go alone later at night.

This bar plays the same songs every year and the DJS don’t even mix their own songs they copyright 💀. The bar also smells because it’s so small and there’s no fresh air (so beware).

Thanks for your comments. We are aware that the Bar is small and as such we provide an upstairs venue as well with a nice deck - hope you enjoy your time!

Be careful of this bar if you are a single person travelling to Tonga. The men in there have no hesitation in groping and being offensive. It does not feel safe and my drink was spiked and my money stolen.

Went to Nukualofa whilst cruising on the Pacific Aria. We did an Island bus tour and then went to the Reload Bar for some drinks. Tried a couple of local Lagers and then had some local rum. The beers were really nice and especially enjoyed the rum. The locals in the bar were really friendly.

I went to most of the night clubs. I was lucky that I was in Tonga with my Tongan Boyfriend, so I was safe. The people in the clubs are actually fine, and the security are extremely good. BETTER than NZ. If someone looks like they are getting out of hand or annoying people, they take them out so we feel safe

If your not a local or tongan dont go alone on busy nights it gets really roudy and u dont want to be pushed and shoved around and feel unsafe or uncomfortable other then that music and drinks are good they happy hour daily and dont do cocktails bathrooms are pretty dirty or flooded needs repairing asap and more security

Thanks for your feedback! After 9pm, it does get busy but it's the fun of a "dive" bar! We have this week had problems with our plumbing and trying to get it fixed asap! And about the cocktails...the staff are still learning...as they've only just started on these! We will do more training to improve!

When in the central part of Nukualofa after dark, one cannot help but notice a small cluster of bars along the main road. It is about the only lively spot in Nukualofa after 6 pm. Just follow your ears, good music and good place for a drink and meet the locals and just chill out. It can get crowded though.

Good lil spot for drinks, good music and vibe, happy hour specials are awsome usually overcrowded on fri/sat nights i find july and December most busiest time get in early to get a table

We appreciated having the Reload Lounge bar to relax in while waiting a couple of hours for our boat back to Royal Sunset resort.
It was a quiet Saturday afternoon on comfortable couches watching sport on sky to when reception allowed. Handy location, bright airy room. Nice to talk to some locals. Free wifi.

Yeah definitely not, the security men are literally there for decoration. Guys harassed me and my friends they stood there and watched. The music isn’t even that great, the DJ’S play the same “California luv” on repeat. GO TO NAUTI RUBY!!!!
