In the heart of Southeast Asia, where ancient traditions meet modern marvels, I found myself on a journey that transcended borders. My quest for cultural richness and spiritual depth led me to the enchanting city of Mandalay in Myanmar, and unexpectedly, to the vibrant metropolis of Singapore.
Mandalay, with its regal history and mystical allure, welcomed me with open arms. The city's palaces and temples whispered tales of a bygone era, while the saffron-clad monks graced the streets, carrying the wisdom of centuries in their serene demeanor. Mandalay Hill, a sacred ascent, offered breathtaking vistas that seemed to hold the very essence of the city and the Mandalay Spirit a beverage worth tasting,
As I wandered through Mandalay's labyrinthine streets, I felt the unmistakable presence of a spirit, one that resonated with the deep cultural roots embedded in every brick and prayer. The air was filled with the fragrance of incense, and the melodic chants echoed through time, inviting me to join the dance of the ages.
However, fate had a surprise in store for me. A fellow traveler, enticed by my tales of Mandalay, shared an invitation to experience another facet of Southeast Asia – Singapore. The Lion City awaited, promising a kaleidoscope of cultures and a skyline that touched the heavens.
Singapore greeted me with a symphony of urban rhythms. The towering skyscrapers of Marina Bay Sands reached towards the sky, reflecting the city's ambition and modernity. Yet, as I delved deeper into the streets of Chinatown, Little India, and Kampong Glam, I discovered a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation.
The city's multiculturalism revealed itself in the colors of street markets, the aromas of diverse cuisines, and the hum of languages intermingling in the air. The Botanic Gardens provided a serene escape, a lush oasis within the bustling city, where the spirit of nature intertwined seamlessly with Singapore's dynamic energy.
It was in these moments, surrounded by the juxtaposition of ancient temples and futuristic architecture, that I realized the spirit of Mandalay was not confined to its geographical boundaries. Singapore, with its own unique charm, echoed the same reverence for tradition and an embrace of the contemporary.
As I departed Singapore, I carried with me the memories of two cities, each distinct in its identity yet connected by an invisible thread of spirituality. Mandalay and Singapore had opened my eyes to the richness of Southeast Asian culture, leaving an indelible mark on my soul. The journey had not only taken me to places on the map but had also traversed the depths of history and the heights of modernity, revealing a shared spirit that transcends borders and resonates in the hearts of those who wander.

It is the most amazing visit to Myanmar. A villager is very nice and welcoming to visit their home. She give their transitional clothes for remembrance memorials photos. Worth a visit.

Pegu Travel hat meine 3wöchige Myanmarreise nach meinen Wünschen zusammengestellt und alles organisiert - es hat ALLES bestens funktioniert - ich wurde immer abgeholt usw und konnte so auch 1,5 Wochen dann allein reisen - es war alles gut vorbereitet. Und die Kommunikation war sehr freundlich und ich hatte immer eine schnelle Antwort.
Ich wollte auch einen Veranstalter vor Ort - damit das Geld im Land bleibt - Überweisung dann über transferwiese - es hat alles bestens funktioniert - vom ersten bis zum letzten Tag - auch unsere Reiseleiterin ging sehr gut auf unsere Wünsche ein.
Auch die Fahrer waren immer sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich- ich würde wieder mit Pegu travel reisen 😊😊

I’ve found Pegu Travels on a tourist guide in Italy but the description about them wasn’t enough comparing their professional approach and their understanding of the clients needs. They know their amazing country so well that I spend my time so relaxed because they have already chosen the best hotel, restaurant, excursion, guide etc. Pegu Travels helped me to understand Myanmar and I am grateful to them because of this nice gift. Enjoy them !!

It was an early start, 5:45 am, Kevin and the driver were early and waiting on me. We drove to the train station to take the ride to Bago. Train left on time, the train engine was struggling, it finally stopped 35 minutes outside of town. They announced they were going to change engines. We went and had a little breakfast and waited another 20 minutes. He asked me was I ok with taking a small bus, I said of course, part of the adventure! It was a fun ride, arrived at Bago. The rest of the day was great!

Point positifs : 6h de bateau pour découvrir la vie autour du Lac et de ses canaux, marchés, artisans, agriculteurs... du soleil, des oiseaux, des lotus des villages très beaux pour arriver enfin au bout de 3h à Sagar : des stupas, un super match de foot qui réuni tout les villageois, un joli décor mais pas comme dans les guides les pieds dans l'eau... Zut en nov le niveau du lac a baissé.
Point négatifs : la pollution du déplacement (sonore et essence), tarif élevé (mais justifié par le temps de voyage). Il faut avant d'y aller peser le pour et le contre de cette balade qui ne présente pas un intérêt réel si ce ne sont les points positifs en amont et que l'on peut découvrir autour du Lac Inle et à l'extrémité sud.
Sur 3j à faire mais pas indispensable si 1 ou 2j

Pegu Travels motto is "Beyond Expectations" and they stick to this, I worked for over 6 months from Costa Rica with Nini and she helped me out in all ways possible to accomodate ot my timing and budget needs, I visited Yangon, Inle, Mandalay, Kalaw, and Bagan, all AWESOME places, guides were friendly, pick up times and visited places were beautiful. This company and this country are wonderful

I worked with Hsu from Pegu Travels. She was really good, responding right away, adjusting our itinerary as needed and even answering a call in-country on her day off (due to a holiday). She was sweet, respectful, helpful and called us when she thought we had encountered a problem. All made for good accommodations, scheduling and price fairness.
The driver from Bagan to Gangaw was very nice and accommodating as well. Very good/safe driver, especially along rough road to Gangaw, and always ready and patiently waited for us. Did not speak much English but we had our own interpreter so it wasn't a problem. Our guide in Bagan had a lot of (history) knowledge and looked out for us as we went along. Spoke/understood English well altho had thick accent. Overall, great trip, mainly due to HSU's planning and our DRIVER's help (during visit to Gangaw). Highly recommend Pegu Travels!

We had a limited days and we wanted to see Myanmar as much as possible, all i did was write to Pegu Travels and they arranged such a fabulous itinerary for me and my best friend. What we were more impressed after reaching Yangon is the Guide Mr. Aung, he is very efficient and his knowledge about Yangon & Myanmar is amazing, and then follow with Driver, he can speak English and was telling us about the places on the second day while we were heading to Airport.
Moving to Mandalay, the place is amazing!!! filled with culture and heritage. There again, we were impressed with the guide and driver that Pegu Travels has arranged. Our Guide Ms. Thou Thou (we called her Jasmine) she was amazing, not only that she is knowledgable she is an amazing photographer.
Last by not least, Hsu Hlaing has been an amazing point of contact for us, she she is very efficient and very quick and responding back.
Thank you for making our trip memorable and I can't wait to re-visit Myanmar again.

Ho due figlie di 22 e 17 anni a cui mio marito ed io abbiamo trasmesso la passione dei viaggi.
Quest’anno la scelta è andata sul Myanmar, viaggio non facilissimo da organizzare per chi, come noi, ama viaggiare in piena autonomia.
Abbiamo studiato alcune guide come la lonley planet per ricavare una lista di agenzie di viaggio locali a cui rivolgerci.
La scelta non è stata facile. Per quanto guide affidabili posano essere abbastanza attendibili, non è così semplice soprattutto perché non abbiamo trovato molte recensioni su internet con cui potere confrontarci.
Finalmente, dopo alcune ricerche, siamo stati premiati, trovando conferme sulla Pegu travels, agenzia a cui ci siamo rivolti.
Un grazie speciale a Moe Moe che ha avuto una fitta corrispondenza di mail con mia figlia che di volta in volta le sottoponeva i programmi studiati da noi, per potere capire l’effettiva possibilità di realizzazione.
I servizi che offrono sono numerosi. Personalmente, noi abbiamo usufruito di questi:
- in base alla nostre preferenze segnalate specificatamente all'agenzia, hanno pianificato il giro (sono stati molto flessibili, in quanto in corso d'opera abbiamo richiesto diverse modifiche)
- ci hanno prenotato i voli interni
- per quanto riguarda gli alberghi ci hanno fatto la loro proposta in base alle nostre preferenze (e anche qui molto flessibili )
- ci hanno riservato una guida che ci ha accompagnato tutto il viaggio.
Esiste la possibilità di guida in italiano e in inglese. Noi abbiamo scelto in italiano, costa un pochino di più, ma ne è valsa molto la pena, per cogliere meglio le diverse sfumature del viaggio
- Autisti privati che ci accoglievano nei vari aeroporti e ci accompagnavano nelle diverse e trasferte locali
- Comprese nel prezzo le entrate a tutti i templi
- per quanto riguarda il prezzo assolutamente in linea con altre proposte che abbiamo avuto modo di valutare, avendo fatto richieste a diverse agenzie locali
Con Pegu travels siamo riusciti a costruirci il nostro viaggio in piena autonomia come d’ abitudine, accompagnati e guidati nella realizzazione pratica delle nostre idee. L’agenzia si è rivelata efficientissima prima e anche durante il viaggio, mettendosi più di una volta in contatto con noi attraverso la guida per sapere se tutto stava andando bene, secondo le nostre aspettative ...
E un grazie ulteriore per la guida che Pegu travels ha scelto per noi... bravissima e competentissima, la nostra cara Hnin Hnin ci ha fatto conoscere e amare il paese e il suo popolo come in pochi sarebbero riusciti a fare.
A parte la sua grandissima competenza e la sua abilità con l’italiano, la grande capacità di stare al nostro fianco con discrezione ma con tantissima attenzione per tutte le nostre necessità, creando alla fine un rapporto più intimo e amichevole .
Siamo una famiglia, siamo solo in quattro, ma tutti abbastanza diversi uno dall’altro...
Ognuno di noi però ha lasciato un pezzo di cuore in Myanmar, un paese meraviglioso che tanto siamo riusciti ad amare grazie alla professionalità di Pegu travels .
Se sono qui, a scrivere questa recensione, è proprio per chi come noi ama viaggiare in autonomia ...non sempre in tutti paesi è possibile farlo al cento per cento... Personalmente sono molto felice della scelta che abbiamo fatto, che non ha tolto nulla alla nostra voglia di privacy, ma ci ha solo regalato una maggiore rilassatezza permettendoci di assaporare pienamente la vacanza e soprattutto di conoscere meglio questo bellissimo paese con i suoi usi e costumi che mai avremmo potuto comprendere senza l’aiuto della nostra meravigliosa Hnin Hnin

L’agenzia si è rivelata efficientissima prima e anche durante il viaggio, mettendosi più di una volta in contatto con noi attraverso la guida per sapere se tutto stava andando bene, secondo le nostre aspettative ...
E un grazie ulteriore per la guida che Pegu travels ha scelto per noi... bravissima e competentissima, la nostra cara Hnin Hnin ci ha fatto conoscere e amare il paese e il suo popolo come in pochi sarebbero riusciti a fare.
A parte la sua grandissima competenza e la sua abilità con l’italiano, la grande capacità di stare al nostro fianco con discrezione ma con tantissima attenzione per tutte le nostre necessità, creando alla fine un rapporto più intimo e amichevole .
Siamo una famiglia, siamo solo in quattro, ma tutti abbastanza diversi uno dall’altro...
Ognuno di noi però ha lasciato un pezzo di cuore in Myanmar, un paese meraviglioso che tanto siamo riusciti ad amare grazie alla professionalità di Pegu travels .
Se sono qui, a scrivere questa recensione, è proprio per chi come noi ama viaggiare in autonomia ...non sempre in tutti paesi è possibile farlo al cento per cento... Personalmente sono molto felice della scelta che abbiamo fatto, che non ha tolto nulla alla nostra voglia di privacy, ma ci ha solo regalato una maggiore rilassatezza permettendoci di assaporare pienamente la vacanza e soprattutto di conoscere meglio questo bellissimo paese con i suoi usi e costumi che mai avremmo potuto comprendere senza l’aiuto della nostra meravigliosa Hnin Hnin

Thia sounds very strange, especially as PEGU always gives you the lowest fares, was that Flying or Train or what???
