This is a typical indoor wet market and cooked food court located between Queen's Road Central and Bonham Strand in Sheung Wan. The ground and first floor is where you find a traditional food market open from 6am to 8pm daily while on the 2nd floor there is a cooked food area where you can purchase light meals and cheap eats. The Cooked Food area is open from early morning around 6am until after midnight.
The wet market floors are a common scene in Hong Kong. You'll find many venders dealing fresh seafood, poultry, pork and beef as well as numerous vegetable stalls. There are sundries, fresh flowers and a handful of small shops on the 1st floor as well. The scene can be quite photogenic when busy. Late morning can be a good time to see the market at its peak. By mid afternoon the shops start to close up.
The second floor is where you find the cooked food centre. There are a handful of small eateries from which you can order from. Tables are setup just like what you'd find at a mall food court. Meals are affordable and there is a fair range of Chinese, Vietnamese and other international foods on offer.

喜歡吃海鮮買買伴手禮的，不妨來上環街市走走，會有驚人的發現哦，另外這次看到《阿千看世界》的文章才知道要先在「KLOOK客路」買好券(真的比現場便宜)，這位旅遊部落客阿千真的強！外加她的「agoda訂房」折扣密技也讓我省下了好幾千，有興趣的人可以上網搜尋《阿千看世界》

香港国際空港乗継で10時間の乗継があったので上環を観光しました。その時にこの建物に寄りました。基本的には市場なのですが、最上階がフードコートになっていて、飲茶や香港紅茶が楽しめました。庶民派施設ですので上質な感じはありませんが楽しい施設です。

二階建てバス、路面電車があると思いきや、高層デパートビルが立ち並ぶと思いきや、小道に入ると小さい商店が立ち並ぶ街。。
初めての香港だった私にしては全てが新鮮な街でした。。
この辺り界隈、香取慎吾のアート、九龍城デザインの壁、マリリンモンローアート、有名エッグタルト、有名ハンバーガー店、有名さとうきびドリンク店？この界隈は全て徒歩圏内です。
ビクトリアハーバーを隔てて北側の九龍島と、南側よこちらの香港島は、雰囲気がまた違うので面白いです。
初めての香港だった私にしては全てが新鮮な街でした。。

Local-style food court was amazing. We had more than we could eat for only HKD120 per person including beer. The place was packed with locals. The food was world class. Come here.

過去の旅行で滞在した地域。海産物問屋が沢山あり、この地域に差し掛かると海産物の匂いがしてきます。干しエビ、ホタテを買った記憶がよみがえります。
以前は真夏でしたので、かなり匂いに衝撃でしたが、今回は爽やかな日で、あまり気になりませんでした。
今回は車窓見学のみ。少し先まで乗り海沿いを散歩して、スーパーでお土産を買い、また路面電車に乗りセントラルまで帰りました。のんびり路面電車に揺られながらタイムスリップしたような錯覚さえ覚える街、路面電車の旅は大好きです。

Went off the track beaten by tourists to this place with my fiancée and her friends who live in Hong Kong. This is a food court of 15 or so restaurant outlets popular with a mix of locals and expats. Knowing I was in the audience, they chose curry for us. We had a few beers and starter/main curry which was excellent. Overall price for 4 was £50-60: great value and great food.
Only sour note was the toilet facilities: they are frankly ones to avoid. An issue for the building not the food outlets mind.

Der Sheung Wan Market ist beeindruckend. Wahrscheinlich wprde in D das Gesundheitsamt einen Riegel vorschieben, aber es war nicht schmutzig o.ä. Dennoch so fremdartig und wahrscheinlich mit lockereren Hyienevirschriften als bei uns.
Man sieht Obst und Gemüse, Fisch und Fleisch. Teilweise auch lebendig.
Aber auch Gewürze kann man finden, zu sensationellen Preisen.
Ein hochinteressantes Erlebnis.
