Not really but you can choose a combination ticket that includes both the tram ride and the Sky Terrace observation deck. The adult combo ticket is $99 incl return trip on tram (the tram on its own is $52 for a return trip). The Sky Terrace certainly gives you a panoramic 360 degree view over Hong Kong. However there are several other spots where you can also get very good views over Hong Kong for free. They are comparable views (if not 360 degrees). The free spots are at the Galleria observation deck, Lions Pavilion, from the Peak Circle Walk and Lugard Rd (see reviews on each of these). If you want to explore the Peak a little, the Peak Circle Walk is an easy, flat, looped trail. I often take visitors on this walk. The other thing to remember is that you don’t have to do the tram both ways. Taking a bus or taxi one-way is quite a good option esp if there are queues at the tram. In any case you get a totally different view over Hong Kong as the bus or taxi winds it’s way up/down the mountain. Hope this helps. Enjoy Hong Kong. It’s a great city.

Hi, it should be closed that time and there is very limited transportation from the peak. Yes, HK is very safe everywhere for anytime of the day. However, if the view of the skyscraper is what you are keen on then there are many roof top bars where you can enjoy the stunning views of Hong Kong. My personal favourites are Sevva, CeLaVi, Piqniq (all of these three are in the same area, so you can choose any ) and Ozone (the rooftop bar with the best view of the city, its in Ritz Carlton and its expensive ). All give a great view of the city.

I went by taxi from hotel, on the way back by walking. I have checked it in google maps how far it is and how I can get to there. There is subway as well. Just check from you location what it is the best, because subway was not ok for me. I had to get 2 different subways and walk after that to the Peak

It should be ok but it might be foggy depending on the season and you won't get to enjoy the view.. Purchase your tickets before going so you can beat the queue.

I took the 15X bus last weekend from Central and it dropped us off at the peak.

Was there a few days ago, and they said they didn’t know. Organise a bus at the moment just to be safe.

The decisive factor for the Peak is the weather. It often gets foggy and there is nothing to see. If you go in the evening, be there by 8pm or so. At some stage, a lot of buildings turn off their lights. You can combine it when going to Ocean Park as it is relatively close by. Please note that the Peak Gallery is being renovated but the Peak Tower is open. You could also consider doing a Ngong Ping on the day you leave. The Cable Car leaves from Tung Chung which is close to the airport. Check if you can either leave the luggage there or check in first and then go there. Enjoy Hong Kong.

I wouldn't recommend it. Just take the bus from Admiralty or Central.
