Jakarta Ocean Dive came as a recommendation from a close friend who had dived with them early this year. I was planning on my "free and easy" day in Jakarta to do a dive trip. Dede is fun, professional, and super knowledgeable about the local area and dive sites.
Dede took great care of me from start to finish and ensured i had an amazing experience on my dives. The booking and meetup coordination were a breeze. i had clear dive briefings and felt very safe and attended to while we were at depth. Although what you encounter on dives is not directly within the control of dive operators, i got to see some amazing things. - a couple of lionfish, stonefish, turtle, nudi branch, nemo, moray eel, beautiful corals and more.
During Surface interval, we went to sand bar island (i don't remember the actual name of the island) its very beautiful. And additional info, Dede took a great photos of me underwater and on land. I will absolutely use Jakarta Ocean Diver again and recommend them strongly to anyone else who is interested in diving while in Jakarta.

Andrew arranged our private dive trip to Krakatoa, starting with a pickup from the airport, 3.5 hr drive to coast, overnite hotel & fab dive day & hike. Also incl drive back to our hotel in Jakarta. Dede, Akbar & Samsul were all absolutely amazing & we felt so well taken care of. Samsul has great English & is so knowledgeable about Krakatoa, with a ready smile & great personality. We all did the hike up to see that incredible view after diving. I highly rec him as a guide to Krakatoa & underwater dive guide. Dede was great & so attentive to us in the water & took great pics & video. That was a surprise bonus! The combo of Dede & Samsul was great! Akbar was a great driver, very nice. Also, the boat captain & his 2nd were great! Lunch was also very good. A few extras. Samsul talked to the hotel about serving our breakfast earlier so we could leave earlier & arranged for us to keep our room til 5pm so we could have a quick shower after diving. Dede understands customer service & aims to please & he did. Samsul explained last nite how so much coral was destroyed by the tsunami 5 yrs ago, so we were prepared for that. But it is clear that the coral is coming back. We saw some pretty fans & such and some schools of fish. When we were up on the crest, my husband told me & everyone, "Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine I'd be standing here, let alone dive in the caldera!". Great trip!

I had a free weekend day in Jakarta and a friend of mine highly recommended me Andrew , so I ve contacted Andrew just on Friday late afternoon, he organised everything:
2 days trip
Including 4 dives with the instructor and the dive-boat with the boat-driver
+ all-to -can-do-snorkelling !
1 night on island
All lunches , breakfast and dinner
Accommodation
From ancol Jakarta Saturday morning until ancol Jakarta Sunday late afternoon
Andrew booked speedboat to reach the islands ( pramuka,s island)
I met on Ancol the dive’s instructor : Dede .
Dede took care of everything : he s a very nice person , and very helpful :
I guess is the best !!
Once island reached , i went to leave my stuff on the room ( large room with partial sea view room located 15 meters from the sea )
Then we went to dive
The boat is nice ( regular local boat)
Dede installed whole material
I did not have to carry anything
Even dive was over : I d put off my heavy stuff on the sea and the boat driver took it into the boat !
So great service !!
It was a very great week end focused to rest and dive and snorkel .
No fancy location , no nightlife : but for me it was the perfect trip : I needed to change mind and put my eyes under water : it was just perfect and amazing !!
Arrangement was easy and the dive guide (Dede) was absolutely terrific. The diving was better than I expected for islands off the coast of Jakarta -- water was clear , we saw lots of beautiful coral , and great marine life, including brown with light blue spots stingray, lot of colourful big fishes ( parrot fishes , box fishes , Fugu, orphie , murène , clown fishes into their anemon , and lots of tiny, regular and big fishes I do not know the names , and also 5 sea turtles!
Highly recommend for diving near Jakarta and if I go diving again nearby Jakarta I will definitely go back with Andrew & Dede !!

I had a free weekend day in Jakarta and contacted Andrew a few days before about going diving at Pulau Seribu. Arrangement was easy and the dive guide (Seno) was absolutely terrific. The diving was better than I expected for islands off the coast of Jakarta -- not the best in Indonesia of course, but we saw some beautiful coral and great marine life, including 4 sea turtles! Highly recommend for diving near Jakarta and if I go diving again nearby Jakarta I will definitely go back.

I wrote Andrew a message on Friday evening, cause I wanted to go diving on Saturday. Got a prompt reply and joined the trip on Saturday to Thousand Islands.
The first dive site was a little bit boring but I didn't expect something else from a check-dive. The second dive site was amazing. Amazing corals with a variety of marine life including a huge sea turtle.
The included lunch was also good.
Overall a great experience!

I took 2 dives during my stay in Jakarta. Andrew was great in communication from very beggining. He promtly responded to all my questions, prepared my kit so I did not have to worry about anything. On dive, he made sure that I felt safe and had no problems. I was lucky enough to spot a turtle which was a nice bonus. At the end, we enjoyed our lunch with a nice view. I left the place with not only nice memories but also few tips which will improve my diving skills. I would recommend for anyone staying in Jakarta who either is diver or wants to become one to get in touch :) Thanks to Andrew and rest of the crew.

Andrew replied fast to my email inquiry and proposed a few weekend dive options. Once we narrowed down and I made my decision, Merry took over and made sure the day trip went smooth. The trip was amazing fun and very well organized. Not knowing anybody in Jakarta, being female and traveling alone (business trip) they made sure that I feel welcome, safe and taken care of. Highly recommend and will definitely reach out again once back.

Andrew and his crew are super nice, helpful and very knowledgeable! We loved the experience we've had with JODI and would recommend their services highly! We got underwater pictures with 2 turtles, we got constantly checked upon if we we're doing okay and the experience overal was very magical. They even provided snacks and lunch with a beautiful view. Towards our diving locations they showed us around beautiful places on the ocean.

I will be in Jakarta end August for the Weekend and would like to dive. I am PADI III and CMAS III certified

I may have 2 days vacation in Jakarta, would like to have diving trip, would like to diving Sep. 28 afternoon free. needs to back to Jakarta for work before at Oct. 1, any recommend, I am certificates advance open water diver PADI.

Hello this is andrew from jakarta ocean dive. Yes we can arrange the trip fro you but. I must inform you that we need to follow the speed boat schedule... start 8am from ancol marina and and the boat will be back at 3pm from thousand island
So if you want you can take two days and one night or a day trip
