I like the trails and the choices in this park. It is well-kept, fairly well marked, and not too challenging. It is a great place to walk and get some good miles in. I always pack a little lunch and take a break on the way. Very Enjoyable!

We love this park. There’s so much to do here. I ride my mountain bike through the woods ... fabulous trails. There’s also a paved road through the park, which would be a great way to get a wheelchair bound person out in nature. The wildlife we’ve seen includes owls, hawks, eagles, beavers, and even a bobcat. My wife and our Boston terrier, spends endless hours here alone. I feel they’re safe there. Great for families.

The park has an outstanding display of rhododendron blooms in the spring. Contact the park to learn when the peak bloom is for their rhododendrons.

We live adjacent to Robinson State Park and love to walk, run, bike, snowshoe and ski there. It's surprisingly quiet all year round; one of the best kept secrets in Feeding Hills/Agawam. The park road runs from the main entrance on North Street down to the main picnic and pond area; the swimming area is spring fed and clear, with a sandy beach and large grassy area. (As of Oct. 1 they've drained the area for the winter.) The Westfield River is accessible from the main picnic/pond area for putting in kayaks. (River level is currently very low.) Typically cars are only allowed as far as the pond, making the remaining paved road safe to bike and walk. There is a lot of good beginner mountain biking in the part of the park close to Route 187/Westfield; more single track in the east part of the park closer to Sarat Ford/Robinson Park School/Maple St. Trails are pretty well maintained but not marked that well. Roots, sand and rocks are the main trail hazards; also be aware that some trails are multi-purpose and shared by runners, hikers, bikers and horses, especially on the weekend. It's really a beautiful, serene park with open spaces for picnics, an open pavilion that can be rented with its own parking lot and a baseball diamond, many trails, the Westfield River, a swimming area in season and loads of wildlife and natural beauty year-round. We're so lucky to have this park in our backyard!

Went hiking here with the family on a Sunday afternoon in August. $8 admission fee if you are driving in. I got a park map at the gate because it was my first time here. There are numerous color blazes throughout the park, Yellow, White, Blue, Red, Green. Sadly on the Yellow and White trails are marked on the map. So you are left to guess as to your location if you are on any other trail. Got lost a couple of times and had to backtrack some ways to find my way. The trails are all flat, nut much climbing or descending. You can hike all the trails even if you are not on shape. Great park with several streams running though the trails. The river is on the edge of the park and looks very clean. The mountain bike trails have a fair amount of trash on them from bikers, Shame. The swim area is good for toddlers or young kids. It was clean.

We hike here often, the trerrain ranges from flat paved roads to hilly trails. there's nice spots along the Westfield River.

Hiking--easy to low-moderate for hiking. Great place to start if you are a beginner hiker.
Good trails for mountain biking.
Abuts a river for fishing and kayaking/canoeing.
Can easily Hike 8 miles of trails without repeating trails.
Always clean and Rangers are readily available.
HIghly recommend.

Is there camping close by?
I know there's a campground in Southwick, and there's Prospect Mountain in Granville, but none in the immediate area.

Excellent cross country style trails that go from end to end and beyond... As the other person stated, they are used by cyclists, horseback riders as well as people walking their dogs. The trails are not difficult to figure out, a lot of them have different branches that will still lead you to the same destination.... Run... Enjoy...

Park hours vary at Robinson depending on the season and lighting. For the most part is normally difficult to tell their normal schedule. You can always count on the gate being open by 10 AM. Gates close at four in the winter, six in the spring and sometimes 8 o'clock in the summer. They may open a little earlier but you deathly do not need the gate to get in there. You can enter anywhere from the Westfield Townline, to west Springfield bridge...
