This is a very cool place to visit during your trip Antigua. They sell anything you can imagine.. However the market is HUGE and it’s easy to get lost, But it’s worth it!

The market was wonderful and had so many beautiful items for sale. I was especially impressed with all the artwork and the many beautiful colors. The only thing that wasn't as nice was a lot of the vendors were quite pushy. I felt like I couldn't look at items without somebody asking me to buy something. It would have been nice to be able to just browse for a bit, especially right at the beginning of the market. Other than that, the market was wonderful with lots of different options, very clean and organized. The location was also excellent as it was near cafes, restaurants, and the arch.

An eclectic collection of vendors, selling trinkets, fruits, auto parts, water heaters, Mayan "stuff", and everything in between. The vendors call out for your interest, but they will not chase you or badger (just say no). The fruits were fresh looking, with mangoes particularly sweet. The prices are as if locals frequent the market. It is also only a few blocks from the arch, so worth a quick stroll through if you have half an hour free.

Dichtbij de lokatie waar alle “Chicken Busses” staan, is deze markt, met vanzelfsprekend heel veel kramen met vers fruit, maar ook met “alles en nog wat”. Veilig om hier als toerist te lopen, maar gezien Covid en de slechts 20% vaccinatiegraad in Guatemala toch wat voorzichtig, ondanks de vele mondkapjes die vrijwel iedereen op heeft.

A clean and well-organized local market that spans two or three blocks on the western end of town off Avenida de Santa Lucia. Like many Latin American markets, this one features everything from food and produce, clothes, shoes to tourist trinkets and artisanal products. A large proportion of the market is covered but there are also many stalls out in the open forming a kind of a maze. Fairly safe for a tourist, though as usual, I'd be careful with my wallet. Prices are a bit cheaper than in the center of town, but not always. Haggling is recommended.

Ce marché, digne d'un souk marocain, est vraiment immense et on y trouve de tout sauf des souvenirs ! Le secteur fruits et légumes est très coloré et odorant. Les âmes sensibles s'abstiendront de visiter le secteur viande, ceux qui le visiteront comprendront pourquoi... Ne pas hésiter à aller tout au fond du marché où se trouve le parking des cars colorés mais attention aux poumons lorsqu'ils démarrent! Beaucoup d'articles sont de seconde main alors prudence ! Ne pas hésiter à négocier les prix de 30 % sauf si les prix paraissent raisonnables, il faut bien que tout le monde vive !

i live in mexico city right now and i LOVE a market...in CDMEX they are all kind fo spread out with different things in each one...this one has it all and it is HOPPING...very very very very awesome....catch it on a saturday if you can.

These markets are huge and you can find almost anything you could want to buy here. We needed an adaptor and a USB stick to be able to save photos from our phone and we found many electronics vendors selling what we needed here. There is also a huge section with fresh fruit and vegetables at great prices.

Lots of fun. Tons of stuff that you do not need but very colorful. Price is negotiable. Start with at least 50% off, then decide.

Stayed over at an AirBnB. Took a 10 min tuktuk ride to the market around 8am...nit everything set up but not crazy busy. Needed to not spend too much time here... Still had 3 hr trip back to the city.

I went around 9:00 a.m. and they were already very busy. It is the public market of the city so it is open very early.
FYI - located near it is the Artisans Market. There were only few stores open at this place during my visit.
