The city center of Sibiu is worth visiting a day. The eyes on the houses are funny and the churches and Bridge of Lies is also very cute. Some good restaurants and bars were also present.

Many well preserved buildings with a lot with a lot of cafes and shops. I imagine it might be crowded during the high tourist season but while we were there it was quite nice.

The day we were there was so cold but even so it was amazing to wander the streets....so many buildings and the windows that give the city of eyes its nickname lived up to the name The best part are the amazing and plentiful bakeries!

Sibiu having once been Hermannstadt does have a very German feel about it. The histgoric city centre is lovely and well worth a visit.

Another stunning little city, Romania really is blessed with so many delightful, historical towns & cities. Sibiu, with a population of circa 150,000,
is fairly large, but the old centre, where the bulk of the sites of interest reside, is pretty compact & well suited to walking. Split between an upper & lower section, the primary sites include 3 main squares, the principal pedestrianised thoroughfare, Strada Nicolae Balcescu, picturesque Bridge of Lies, plus various churches (my favourite being The Holy Trinity) & other buildings of architectural importance. Look out for the Houses with Eyes! Ample restaurants, cafes, hotels & museums too, in addition to the remaining towers & walls encircling parts of the city. Unsurprisingly given its history, Sibiu has a strong Germanic flavour. It’s immaculate, orderly & beautiful.

We love Sibiu old town! What a beautiful, life filled area, so much colour and texture and friendly people. A great area just to walk around and enjoy all the different buildings, facades and the famous Sibiu eyes. Too many great cafes and restaurants to choose from, lots of places to sit and rest, some souvenir stalls and gift shops. Definitely worth a visit!!

Una de las grandes sorpresas de este viaje.
Me esperaba una ciudad tipo Brasov y afortunadamente es también preciosa pero distinta tiene una elegancia especial que por momentos recuerda a Viena.
Alrededor de tres plazas (Huet, Menor y Mayor) se dispone prácticamente toda la parte alta de la ciudad con rincones íntimos y muy hermosos, también con grandes espacios como la plaza grande donde hay edificios imponentes, maravillosa la vista De la Iglesia Católica, el ayuntamiento y el museo de Bruckenthal.
Muy bonita la zona de la muralla con los bastiones, la torre del ayuntamiento antigüo, la calle peatonal que enlaza con la plaza mayor.
