The Majlis Ghorfat Umm Al Sheif is located near the Jumeirah coastal road in Dubai and is easily accessible by public transport. This structure, though small, carries historical significance as the summer residence of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the erstwhile ruler of Dubai and father of the current Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The entrance and walking path are surrounded by palm trees. The majlis is a two storeyed structure, with the upper floor having the majlis and two smaller rooms. The Majlis was where the Sheikh would often hold discussions with his advisers. One can see a good collection of the diwans etc. used in those days.

Un pequeño eden frente a la playa Jumeirah, es el lugar donde veraneaba el Sheik Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum a mediados del siglo 20, hoy es un pequeño museo donde se puede ver como vivia el Sheik, hay muchos artefactos de la epoca, muy interesante...

It's so nice to visit this majlis, so different than all the shopping malls. You can walk in the garden and enter the summer residence. The visit won't take long : 20 to 30 mn only.
