If you want to go shopping or have tea (or afternoon tea), or experience the characteristics of Suzhou, Pingjiang Road is the best place to go.This is a pedestrian street that runs through the history of Suzhou. You can experience Suzhou that you have never "seen".If you want to have a good meal there, you can eat the classic dishes in Suzhou.For example, sesame balls（麻团）, osmanthus porridge（桂花粥）, red noodle soup （红汤面），Suzhou wonton （苏州馄饨）and so on.If you are lucky, you can eat while listening to Suzhou Pingtan.
In a word, Pingjiang Road is an excellent place.

Its a charming walk after visiting the gardens of the Humble Administrator. Its full of little shops, lots of street food places (go to the ones with the long ques of the locals as they will serve the best of what ever they are serving) and a lovely canal with ancient stone bridges.
Great way to see some better arts and crafts and get a sense of the locals at play.

Me pareció hermoso. Las calles conservan el aire antiguo, está conservado. Hay solo negocios turísticos en la vía principal, pero se puede ir hacia las demás calles de la ciudad. Recomiendo su visita y no hay precio para recorrer la ciudad vieja.

Came during the Labor Day holidays. Started in early afternoon and the crowd was bearable. People continued to stream in and by late afternoon, the place was packed.
Interesting place with shops lined up along the canal. There are plenty of food and beverage options. Souvenirs shops are also in abundance.
For entertainment, there are tea houses with talk show in local language. There are quaint alleys that are good for photo ops.
Certainly worth a visit when you visit Suzhou.

Narrow streets, local snacks, traditional souvenirs and picturesque canals. Take the time to look into the past, there was an old man who would personalise a silk fan for you by doing a painting and incorporating your name in both the Roman and Chinese alphabets. The snacks are all finger food with the sweet and savoury signature of Suzhou. Take a short trip on the canal or simply mooch. Fascinating history right before your eyes.

Lots of shops, beautiful traditional buildings and nice street art. They even had singing boat operators. If you're looking for good food in this area try Finland Home Cafe.

この通りに面しているおみやげ物屋や屋台にはあまり興味ありませんが、一歩裏道に入るととたんに観光地の喧騒から抜け出し、地元の人たちの生活感が充満しているというのが個人的に好きです。東洋のヴェネツィアとマルコポーロが言ったそうですが、確かにそんな雰囲気があります。夜の散策にも向いています。意外とカフェやバーが少ない印象です。

Pingjiang Road, an old traditional commercial street. visit here is a necessary link when you are in Suzhou. Here retain the architectural style of ancient times. you can see all kinds shops over here, Suzhou traditional snakes and toys, old collections, traditional restaurants, hotels and so on. I would stronglty suggest traveller to book an hotel in the alley, lay down your gears, head out and enjoy the prosperous old Suzhou. You will found the fashion of the old Suzhou.

Great big area of shops after shops! There are lots of restaurants, souvenir shops, museum, boutiques, hotels, tea shops, wine shops, snack shops, and even Starbucks! Lots to see. Lots to photograph. Do spend a day and evening there for day and night are 2 very different feelings there.

9月份因来苏出差，入住酒店距离平江路不远，于是下班后来逛逛闻名已久的平江路！一路上各种咖啡店，茶馆，路边还在播放苏州评弹，感觉非常惬意
