We wanted something to wear to Carnival so we walked down to this shop and found what we wanted. It was a little sparse on inventory, but then we are only two days away from Carnival. The shirts we got were more than on the street, but the quality was better and I didn’t mind since profits go to local artists.

If you want to take home something that is all about Barranquilla then this is the place: t-shirts, performance shirts, caps, sweatshirts, backpacks, coasters, mugs, dolls, etc. all with local symbols and colorful graphics. If you miss a stop here, don’t fret, there’s a small outlet at BAQ airport in front of Juan Valdéz before International Departures.

This store has some cute tongue-in-cheek gifts that are great souvenirs or personal mementos from a trip to Barranquilla. They have clever t-shirts, aprons, mugs, artwork, and tchotchkes, all with coastal Colombian sayings or drawings. It's small, but they pack a lot in, and prices are reasonable. Although it's pricier than the usual touristy markets, I like that the money goes directly to support local artists. They also have an airport kiosk!
