I really enjoyed my stay here. It is a good way to learn more about the Colombian culture. We went fishing, horse riding and in the night we danced with the band and and enjoyed the music. If you want to relax and get away from the city and would recommend to go here. The people are really and welcoming.

An amazing place; nice rooms with a beautiful view, a minute from the beach and lovely homemade food. The perfect place to relax in a cultural environment. The host is more than friendly and told us (in Norwegian, English or Spanish) about the culture, history of the country, political situation and not at least the ambitions to bring the social project forward. We got much more than expected.

Rural idyllic setting, private beach, nice rooms and a big terrace with pleasant breeze from the sea, fine and knowledgeable hosts, 25 minutes to the beautiful old city in Cartegena. Enjoy this peaceful paradise outside Cartegena, while supporting a good cause: A significant side benefit of staying and enjoying life in this unique and intimate hotel is that you automatically contribute greatly to creating a better future for young people in two villages. If you are interested in hearing more about this cause, just ask the nice hosts. Tips: Start Reading a classic Marquez book when you begin this journey. Thank you dear hosts, Luce and Øystein! Best holiday ever.

Ønsker du å oppleve det genuine rolige landsbylivet og likevel bo vakkert til i sjøkanten, er dette stedet du bør velge. Skulle du likevel bli rastløs underveis ligger gamlebyen i Cartagena bare en halvtimes drosjetur unna.
De komfortable rommene med aircondition ligger i andre etasje. Rommene er rene, og har flott utsikt over eiendommen og havet. God valuta for pengene!
Vertskapet her er helt fantastisk! På morgenent fikk vi servert rykende fersk kaffe fra Palmor i Sierra Nevada, fantastisk oppskåret frukt, deilig frokost og ferkspresset juice i alle varianer. Å nyte dette under palmene i vannkanten mens pelikanene glir forbi må bare oppleves.
Øystein som sammen med sin kommende kone driver stedet, er utrolig kunnskapsrik når det kommer til Colombias nyere historie, kultur, mangforld og utfordringer. Han deler gjerne av sin kunnskap. Og skulle du være interresert, er det gode muligheter for at du får høre vallenato-musikk med det lokale bandet fra landsbyen Punta Canoa.
Reisetips: Om du har tid, spør Øystein om reiseråd for et besøk i fjelllandsbyen Palmor som ligger i Sierra Nevada.

The host family is really nice and generous and the place lovely and quiet; only a few steps walk to the private beach. Sunday the host organized a “parranda" (vallenato party) at the centre. It was a lovely party! The vallenato band made us all want to dance. The center is situated half an hour’s drive from Cartagena airport and city. The city is a must to visit.

We had a wonderful Christmas holiday at the resort in Punta Canoa Christmas 2017. Landing in Cartagena we were met by the host at the airport who helped us with the luggage and transport to Punta Canoa. After a short drive, we arrived at the answer to paradise on earth! An amazing place with an even more amazing story! Øystein with family has built the resort literally stone by stone with the result of today - a great holiday resort.
We got a fantastic room overlooking the azure sea and with pelicans flying past our windows every evening. The resort with its beach, warm water, delicious and calm atmosphere and friendly hosts is not a combination you find easily these days.
We spent the coming days relaxing, either by the pool (with its waterfall), on the beach, or under the wonderful palm parasols at the resort. We were served coffee on the porch in the hammocks every morning and the lunch and dinner were beautifully made. We can warmly recommend Punto Canoa for those who want to experience the real and genuine Colombian lifestyle in combination with the wellbeing of staying at a resort of this kind.
Hopefully we will be back some day!

I traveled from Norway with a group of 5 to stay at Centro Cultural Leandro Diaz for 3 weeks in july, 2018. We had a fantastic time and loved this pearl at the Caribbean sea.
We had a lot of fun, but also time and opportunity to relax, swim and walk the beach into Punta Canoa
And of course visit Cartagena. The food was good, the surroundings are tranquil and relaxed and if you need to get away from stress and just chill out for a while this is the perfect place to be.
