It is one of seven holy theerthams in Seshagiri hills. According to local belief, Lord Brahma wanted to observe penance and to clean this place, Lord Vishnu plunged his Sudarshana Chakra, thus creating a crater for Lord Brahma to sit and meditate. Water from the nearby hill streams gushed in providing him with water. The waterfall has now reduced down to a trickle in summer. There is a small temple nearby which has Sri Chakrathalvar, Sri Narasimha sawmi and Sri Anjaneys swami idols. One of the significant festivals of Tirumala, the Chakra Theertha Mukkoti is observed here every year in December.
All the six locations can be visited in under three hours. You start from – SriVari Padalu. Then return back to Silathoranam. The Rock garden and Chakra Theertham is located within the same complex. From here you go straight to Papavinasanam. On way back you can visit Akash ganga and stop for some time on the Gogarbham dam bridge. You will be travelling a maximum distance of 25 kms.

Nice place to hang around with family. View is very good. Quite place. Its a off season so not a crowded place as on date.

Not many people are aware of the beautiful waterfalls also knows as Chakra Teertham, We booked a cab & it costed us around 500 with family. It is a very beautiful place.

Quite unique and serene place, with temple amidst nature. Natural stone structures, lush green environment, make it a place of must visit. Have to take Steep down and up steps, has stalls for shopping along the walk through.

very beautiful place, but no water running as monsoon had not started yet, so if you want to see waterfall, nothing happening at this time of the year yet. There need to be signs and pastimes written in english. Most things are only written in Tellegu....also unfortunately people throw their garbage all over the place. Please keep your rubbish for the dustbin until you reach one. Thank you.

This Chakra Theertham is located just near to Sila Thoranam and may be 2 to 3 Kms from Tirumala Shrine. This place houses Swayambu Lingam. It is believed that Lord Brahma wished to observe Penance and to clean this place.Lord Vishnu Plunged the Sudarshana Chakram. The Sudarshana Chakram fell in to a place which later came to be known as Chakra Theertham. Taking bath in this pond, is believed to wash your sins. Good number of devotees take bath in this pond.
You can reach this Chakra Theertham by cab/Jeep. Free bus services are also available from Tirumala Bus Stand to this place.

No waterfall. Just a small dug filled with water with do many coins at its bottom. Probably it becomes active in rainy season. There is rocky path which ends at a narrow place with some small sculpture of ancient gods. Local people are worshipping them

Situated at a distance of 2 Kms from Tirumala Bus Station & 3 km from Tirumala Tirupati Balaji Temple, Chakra Theertham is the site for a water body near Sila Thornam and is associated with an interesting legend. According to the legend, Lord Brahma wanted to observe penance and to clean this place, Lord Vishnu plunged his Sudershana Chakram, thus creating a crater. It is one of the famous places of sightseeing in Tirumala.
Visiting this site is considered as good as touching the Lotus Feet of the Lord, which will deliver the devotees from their travails. The waterfall here is an amazing sight to behold and is the location where the idol of Lord Venkateswara is brought during the Brahmotsvam celebrations.
