Many Tibetans are now settled in Manali. The Tibetan Monastery is 10 min walk from the HPTDC bus stand on the Mall Road.
It was constructed in 1969. The two floor structure hosts of a 20 ft statue of Gautam Budhha. Other attractions in the Monastery include handicrafts and handmade carpet by Tibetan folks.
Do visit the market outside the Monastery for traditional Tibetan artifacts and clothes.

We visited this place at the time our stay at Manali.It is on Manali Mall Road.This one is small but good monestry. The scenic beauty from this monastery also good.We have enjoyed lot here.

The monastery is located just off the Mall road at manali. It is beautiful old architecture and nicely maintained.
Would recommend paying the small fee for photography.
Also watch out for sunflowers near the exit gate.

It is small ans Calm Place near to main market of manali. You can visit this to find some moments of peace. A small market is located in front of this market which local people called it as Tibetan Market. It is two storied market from where you can buy woollen and local handicrafts.
The best thing that I discovered over here is a couple who makes very tasty samosa and chole bhature. Their shop is exactly beneath the staircase. They serve samosa and chole bhature at very resonable rate but quality and taste is really really best.
If you are visiting Monastery then I will recommend must visit to this uncle and aunty.

This Monastery is located quite close to the Mall road, small but nice place to pay a visit, pray at the prayer wheels. We visited this place twice during our stay in Manali, there is a small restaurant and Tibetien medicine center within the complex. There was a lady sitting outside the main entrance who was selling wheat Momos and steamed Sidhu with walnut paste filling (un-doubtably the best I have eaten in a very long time) There is a small Tibetan shopping area near the exit of this monastry ... nothing great though!

Quite a peaceful atmosphere within the monastery. It's located very close to Mall Road in Manali. Must visit place if you want to feel and understand Buddhist culture. Keep your shoes outside before entering the monastery.
