Always wanted to go here, finally went there after long time. Very near to Cubbon park, and after finishing my park walk went there. Beautiful govt office looks like a palace.

Just take the time to see this place from the outside - it's a testament to the enormously inspiring optimism of a new and independent India. Notice the inscription above the central portico: "Government's Work is God's Work." Cuts both ways.

Die Bauten des Staatsparlaments sind schon sehr ausufernd und beeindruckend. Das liegt nicht allein an der Gestaltung/Architektur, sondern auch an der Größenordnung. Man kann hier entspannt spazieren gehen. Reduzierter Verkehr. Parkanlagen.
Vorsicht: "Auto"-Dienstleister bieten ihre Dienste an, fahren dann aber doch in irgendwelche Verkaufslager, um einen zu einem Kauf zu nötigen.
Leider ist ausgerechnet hier der Internet-Zugang stark eingeschränkt, weswegen man etwas gehen muss, um so ein Taxi zu rufen. Man kann auch von hier zu Fuß zur Basilica gehen.

I always wanted to come here on my visit to Bengaluru. I think that this is a must visit place. Big, splendid and grandeur are the right words for the same. I could correlate to many Hindi film shootings that had been done here in the past .

Vidhan Soudha or legislative assembly of karnataka state is designed in Neo-Dravidian and some elements of Indo-saracenic style.
Kengal Hanumanthaiah designed this building and construction was completed in 1956 under his guidance.
Total area of is 60 acres and having four floor above ground and one floor below ground.
Only roadside view is possible.

We just drove though while visiting Bengaluru, and I could not stop staring at this building, beautiful architecture. Unfortunately I think we are not allowed to take photos :(

we only viewed this place from outside and i dont know if you can visit the inside, but from the outside the architecture is stunning , located in the heart of the city on a very busy road
