while it is not up to par with leading science/technological museums of the world, it's still good and worth the visit. Pretty rich display. Very good English accompanied explanations. I liked it.

The Science Museum has tons of working models and scientific experiments over multiple floors.
You can feel listen and learn. It’s so big that it’s hard to cover the full Museum in one visit.

Visvesvarya Industrial Museum offers a compelling journey of basic Science for Kids and elders, the ideal age i would say between 12 and above, this museum stands out for its diverse range of exhibits and interactive experiences that cater to visitors of all ages. You need a minimum of 4 hours to scan all the floors, I would suggest a one day activity here.
The museum boasts a wide array of exhibits spanning various scientific disciplines, from, satellites to physics to astronomy to biology and environmental science. Highlights include a hands-on to do stuff where visitors can experiment with gravity and motion, sound, and a simulated journey through space that captivates both children and adults alike. Each exhibit is meticulously curated with informative panels and interactive elements that encourage learning through out.
One of the museum's strengths lies in its educational value. Complex scientific concepts are presented in a way that is accessible yet thought-provoking. , visitors leave with a deeper understanding of the natural world around them.
In terms of design, there are 4 floors , thanks to clear signage and helpful staff who are readily available to answer questions. The exhibits are well-maintained, and the museum ambiance is both inviting and conducive to learning.
Beyond its exhibits, the Museum offers a range of engaging activities such as live demonstrations. These activities not only entertain but also deepen the educational experience, making science come alive in exciting ways.

One of the top science museums in India, this place has eight permanent exhibitions covering a wide range of scientific concepts and their applications.
With many hands-on exhibits, visitors can learn a lot and stay entertained as well. While some exhibits were broken at the time of our visit, that minor drawback is ignored while rating, considering the population pressure this place is subjected to and more importantly the fact that a majority of the exhibits were working fine.
One could easily spend half a day here going through the various sections.

Displaying industrial products, scientific models and engines were very useful to IT and Engineering students. Wright Brothers Exhibit and Dinosaur Exhibit attracted many. There were many rare and interesting shows at Scientific Show Halls. Engine Hall and galleries were informative.

The biotechnology section is very good and can be very inspiring for youngsters to take up a career in biology. The other sections may be good too, but I didn't spend adequate time to assess those.

Yes it does have a canteen at the last floor, not maintained well. You can have snacks here - Samosa, puffs, ice creams etc. Do not plan for having breakfast/lunch here as informed by everyone.
