Tour of spice garden with information about therapeutic and medicinal uses of various plants. TTour cost 100 INR (about $1.25) and was well worth it.

We had a wonderful time learning about spices from John who explained in detail how they are grown, their uses and the potential health benefits. Must visit.

The KTDC guest house at Thekkady suggested this place but this was not the one I was interested. Anyway, it was on the way so stop by and regret that decision. The tou (if at all it can be called a tour) costs Rs. 100.00. Seems like a small amount in non-Indian current but it's not worth it. Few steps down the guide will show you few spice plans like cardamon, all spice (not sure about this claim), peppers and take you to their store. This is what they want you to be there and makes bogus claims about the medicinal value of their products which priced very high.
I don't recommend anyone to go there.

Its good information about spices but the spices shop is expensive then munnar and cochin,
they say quality is very good. but am yet to try that . they take admission fee to see the garden and the spices price is also high . so once should be careful while buying

Our guide was able to identify the spice plants and tell us what their benefits are for each of them. Many fresh spices and also skincare products to buy in different quantities.
Not suitable to visit during on rainy days unless you want to skip the walk and go straight to the gift shop.

Többféle fűszert is megmutattak eredeti tenyészhelyén, pl. kardamomot, gyömbért, borsot, vaníliát, szegfűszeget, szerecsendiót stb. Mindegyikről kaptunk ismertetést, ami érdekes volt, de maga a farm kissé kaotikusnak tűnt.

good place to know about the spices, various medicinal trees & a tree house good for kids to enjoy. only thing we felt the oils & spices were a bit costlier but otherwise good place to be in.

We really enjoyed the hour long tour around Deepa world- it’s a great activity if you’re interested in food and sustainability. So interesting to see, smell and sample Ayurvedic herbs, spices, fruits and vegetables, and learn more about sustainable farming practises. Fantastic value for money at 100 rupees each.
