Shopping experience

This is the most reasonably priced souvenir shop in the entire city. They are well stocked with marble and non-marble stuff. Owner is friendly and you do not need to worry about the hidden price. We went to a few different stores but none could come close to this shop when comes to price for the same items. I highly recommend everyone to at least stop by there if you are shopping for souvenir.

Llegamos a este lugar gracias a sus buenas recomendaciones en Tripadvisor y realmente es una excelente tienda en Jaipur para comprar hermosos souvenirs de recuerdo.
Tienen cosas muy hermosas y a buen precio.
Es un lugar al que no te llevan los guías turísticos, pero aqui te realizan un descuento en tu compra igual :)
Sin dudas lo recomiendo!

One stop souvenir shop

This place is privately owned so that no commission is being given to tourist guide and therefore prices of souvenirs in this shop are much cheaper than other shops in Agra.owner is also accommodating.

BEST SOUVENIR SHOP - NOT HOUSEHOLD ITEMS OR FINE JEWELRY
Our family loved this place just outside the west gate roundabout of the Taj. We normally like bargaining at the market when we travel. In India they were to crafty for us inpatient travelers. From traveling in SE Asian we knew the market and shop prices were extremely high, but we did not know the true value of the item. Come to this shop to find out even if you do not buy. Our trip was 3/4 complete when we arrive at this shop and we bought 80% of our trip gifts in 3-1/2 hours. Trip guides will not want to bring you here because they do not get a commission.

Though the shop is small, keep looking because there are so many hidden items. Though the prices are fixed the owner gave my wife an expensive gift of Indian Crafted Teas in a large decorative wood box.

Example: The Agra Marble Factory Tour item prices were 20 time higher, even after we bargained the factory sales staff down 30%.

El único sitio en la India con el precio marcado. Ideal para los turistas que no tenemos dominado el arte del regateo. Souvenirs artesanales y con buen material. Algunas de las piezas pintadas un poco abstracto, pero eso no quita que sea bonito.

Fabulous - souvenir shopping made pleasant!

We arrived only 20 minutes before closing time, but the staff were friendly and helpful when needed, yet didn’t hassle us in the slightest. There was a great range of souvenirs at very affordable prices and it was a joy to shop with no bartering. The inlaid marble is absolutely beautiful and I bought several trinket boxes and wine stoppers, amongst other souvenirs.

Everything was bubble-wrapped carefully to take back on the plane, even though we were keeping the staff late. The staff then presented us with two coasters as, “as no-one should leave Agra without a picture of the Taj Mahal”. They then called us a tuk-tuk and negotiated the rate, which didn’t stop the driver trying to charge us double at the end, of course.

Just wish I’d had more time and more space in the suitcase. Very highly recommend that you visit!!

Best souvenir shop in India with fixed price!

Great shop, near to the Taj Mahal. They have fix (!!!) and reasonable (!!!) prices, so you don't have to bargain. They have a huge variety of the souvenirs (magnets, marble stuffs, tee and so on...).

Banyak orang yang menulis bahwa Agra adalah kota yang penuh tipuan dan kejahatan. Nyatanya banyak toko di kota Agra ini yang dibuat bertujuan untuk mengelabui turis seperti menjual barang palsu atau menjual barang dengan harga yang tidak masuk akal. Untung sekali saya membaca tentang toko ini di internet. Saya sangat puas sekali berbelanja disini. Harganya wajar, tidak perlu tawar menawar. Bahkan apabila kita membeli banyak barang bisa mendapat diskon lagi. Barang yang dijual disini memang lengkap jadi sangat puas berbelanja disini. Pelayan di toko ini pun semua sangat siap membantu. Mereka menyuguhkan teh, membantu mencarikan tuktuk, membantu menukar uang, membantu menunjukkan arah. Sungguh sangat berterima kasih kepada mereka!

The ONLY souvenir shop that you should be looking at

The Warehouse of Gifts & Souvenirs (TWGS), in my opinion, is a gift to tourists. I was in Agra last week and my guide took me to another souvenir shop (I'm not going to mention the name of the other shop as I don't believe in tarnishing anyone's reputation. Let's keep it Shop X & its' shopkeeper as Shopkeeper X)

I bumped into a Taj Mahal replica which I instantly liked. Shopkeeper X quoted me a whopping Rs11800 for it. However, instinct-wise I felt that it was a rip off. I told Shopkeeper X that I'm going to another shop and shall be back if I find this price is eventually competitive.

Fast forward, I stepped into TWGS, and was welcomed by Mr Varun Gupta and his staffs. He had the same Taj Mahal replica which I saw in Shop X. Exactly same in terms of quality. However, to my absolute horror, Mr Varun quoted me just Rs 4000 for the replica. My worth, I was almost ripped to the tune of Rs 5800 (approx USD 84). No wonder Mr Varun's shop is rated so highly in tripadvisor. It is indeed cheap, and lives up to the claim.

TWGS houses fridge magnets, intricately-designed marbles, Taj Mahal replicas, and host of other items. Perhaps the only grouse one can have is the limited amount of souvenirs in the shop. This may be limiting for some but was not an issue for my wife and I as we happily lapped up as many souvenirs as we could from this shop.

When I made the payment by credit card, one of Mr Varun's staff told me that the transaction didn't go through as there was no receipt generated. I swiped my card again. Receipt generated on the second time, and we happily left to Malaysia.

Upon reaching Malaysia, my online credit card statement showed that there was payment made twice to TWGS. I moved to quickly mail Mr Varun on a refund as I still had his business card. He responded by saying that he is aware of the situation two days earlier and already made arrangements with his bank to refund the money to my credit card account. True enough, I received my refund today and I'm glad that such honest and sincere business people do exist.

I thank Mr Varun and his staffs wholeheartedly for their courtesy and honesty. This shop is a must visit if you are interested in quality products at a reasonable price and ethical business.
