It was such a great experience to walk with Mr Yash through the forest and up the hill. He has a great knowledge about the region, knows so many plants and explains everything so well. Can absolutely recommend d!

near to the Company Bag, there is a board of benog wildlife sanctuary. But afterwards nether the google map will help you nor the local. Not sure how tovisit the place. we could not find the place. It was becoming 4 pm and we had to return back .

It is nice to walk to the top of Binog but you shoud have a guide, if not you are lost....;-) the view is fantastic!

Brilliant location for birding, and day hikes. We went with a group of six and had a wonderful time on the gentle slopes, the abandoned brewery and local temples near by.

The road takes you till the gate of reserve post which you have to walk for 7-8 kilometers to reach Benog. On the way you see some nice stream creating small waterfalls. Trail is green and scenic. Hoped to see some birds but being noon there weren't many. Go there if looking for solidarity peace and quite atmosphere.

Benog Wildlife Sanctuary is the best nature forest walk and day trek in the Mussoorie region. The forest walk to Benog Wildlife Sanctuary starts from Clouds End. This scenic nature trail starts as a jungle walk giving slendid forest views which further takes you to the Benog Hill peak which at 2,250 m is the highest mountain peak in Mussoorie region. It is suitable for people of all age groups & fitness level. Benog Hill is a must visit place for nature lovers, hikers, photographers and adventure seekers !

The Sanctuary serves as a home to many endangered and rare species of avifauna.Apart from fauna,herds of deer and leopards are also spotted in their natural habitat.Beautiful views of snow peaks like Chaukhamba and Bandar Punch can be seen from this Sanctuary.

10 km from library chowk. and was very hot day in june. yet we enjoy so much.you can see many birds. good place for trekking.

There is no safari inside Benog.
You will have to walk all the way. It is a medium level treck. It is beautiful to walk.
There are some people who take you to Benog in groups starting from the Library. if you are a group person then you can walk with them. It is 12 Km from the library ( Round Trip).
Another thing you can do is you can take a taxi till the entrance of the Benog. The entrance of this is not marked well. YOu can take a taxi and drive to Cloud End Resort. Get down and then trace back like 50 meters and you will find an entrance to the Benog.
You can do the Benog alone as well. I travelled alone. I was going for some birding trip. It was good.
You dont need a guide because it is just a single road and there is no way in which you can get lost in the jungle.
Carry water or edibles. There is nothing inside.
It is a beautiful treck. Enjoy.
