Worst part was the entire drive home back to the hotel the driver was falling asleep at the wheel, on roads that were on the side of a cliff, we got off as soon as we were able to stop as we genuinely feared for our lives, and had to get a taxi back to our hotel.
We were also herded around like cattle with no one actually talking to us, or telling us anything for the whole start of the trip.
The hike up the mountain itself was great experience (which I would recommend doing), but that is contracted out to other people, so nothing to do with this company.
Looking around at the hundreds of other companies that did this same trip, they all looked far better than our own, and there lack of organisation, care, and safety.

Had a great day! Our tour guide and driver were very helpful and informative. Probably a little more adventurous than what I was expecting, ie off the beaten track, through rice fields and back streets but not over strenuous as a lot of the ride was downhill. Would recommend.

This was the perfect combination of activities, breakfast with a view, coffee and tea tasting with a view, rice terraces, biking, and seeing rural bali, all ending with a lunch with our host. This family is so sweet and want nothing more than to share their home with you! So much fun!

We had the best day riding through rural Bali. Breakfast with an amazing view of the volcano, tasting delicious coffee, visiting a traditional bali home and then lunch at Wayan's village - the food was so good!! Thank you for a fantastic day - Highly recommended 👍🏼

You won't get state of the art mountain bikes on this trip but what you will get is a great ride down quiet back roads, through farms and villages and plenty of rice field action. The bikes are perfectly adequate especially for the price you are paying. Read the other reviews for the inclusions. Just want to reiterate what a great guide Wayan is and his English is the best. We spent about 7 hours all up, eating, riding and sightseeing and enjoyed every minute. Would not hesitate to recommend this trip. Probably not good for families with young children though 😉

Highly recommended. There were 7 of us on our trip. Stopped to view rice terraces then a coffee plantation where we sampled a delicious selection of coffee and teas. Late breakfast overlooking the spectacular lake and Mt Batur then on the mountain bikes. Riding through rice paddies and local roads was lovely and something you wouldn't see driving. Great lunch at the end, fresh and tasty. All included in the price. Excellent value for money. Thanks Wayan

The guide was friendly, the bikes in good condition with breaks working. Helmets supplied as well as water. I recommend putting on sunscreen before you set off. We rode along pot hole gravel roads on mountain bikes so I would not recommend it for anyone that is not fit or anyone with back problems or who is not 100% confident on a bike because the ride is steep, you are gripping onto your breaks most of the time and the roads on the first half of the ride are bad. On a positive note, there is no or very little traffic on these dirt roads and country roads so it's much safer than riding on the main road. Lunch was supplied after the ride. Oh and if you come in the wet season, expect rain on the ride so either pack a rain jacket or just get soaking wet, it's all part of the fun. Maybe pack dry cloths for a more comfortable lunch experience. And lastly you will be riding through rice paddies so again if it's wet you will get super muddy! Other than that scenery was amazing, got to see inside a compound with great explanation of living areas. Highly recommended for younger or fit people.

We booked this excursion via tourist agent in central Ubud, but you can find the tour operator online as well.
The trip started from Ubud, and we did drive up to Mt. Batur vulcano. On the way we stopped by the famous rice field at Tegalalang, what is just beautiful and breathtaking. From there we continued to the mountain and the next stop was at a coffee plantation where we learned a lot about different coffe beans, the technics and roasting methodes, etc... We had a tasting of different coffee as well by the end.
From here we drove up to the mountain and we had a lovely breakfast with the volcano and the lake in the view. Actually the tour doesn't go up to the top of the volcano - that is different tour - but you are close enough to see the old lava flow and the volcano itself.
From that stop you will jump on the bycicle and actually roll down hill to almost Ubud.
On the way down you will pass by jungle, rice fields and sculpture factories, and many many temples.
The guide will stop by a local house and explain the structure and hierarchy of family. Very interesting and you will have some more understanding of local people.
The tour finishes at their own house with an amazing and tasty meal and coffee/drink.
From there they will take you back to your hotel with their mini bus (about 20 mins).
The whole tour takes around 7-8 hours from pick up till drop off at your hotel, and the bycicle part is half of it.
No exercise needed- you are rolling downhill all way long!
The guides are professional and very friendly - their english is very good and they answer to all of your question.
The bycicles are in good condition, they provide you the perfect size of bycicle and safety helmet as well. What you need is good mood and good weather!
Apart from the price of the tour (what was 350.000 rupies / person) you need some cash if you want to buy some souvenier during the day.
I would like to thank again to our guides for the amazing day and it was a brilliant way to have a little insight to the people's everyday life!
Highly recommended!

the guides take time for you and are a real addition to your experience!
you wil visit a traditional balinese home, a fascinating 'spider' house with really big spiders and get a few meals and drinks. The view over the ricefields is very nice.
the bike tour can be hard for older people or young children, it goed pretty hard down the hill and can be slippery.
