This underrated tourist attraction provides an excellent opportunity to learn about the history of Balinese art and the introduction of Western influences on the local culture (and vice versa) including the efforts of Walter Spies.
Set in a tropical garden, there are 4 main buildings containing art. More often than not, you'll have the gallery to yourself.
Entry fee of IDR 95,000. Closure is at 17h.
Well worth the time to check out this museum.

Lovely place- even if you are not too much into paintings, it's worth a visit. The actual site is beautiful like a small park, lovely coffee shop and some interesting selections of local paintings.

Beautiful museum in the middle of Ubud. The entrance fee includes a drink and even a whole meal. At 11:00 we didn't feel like it. Especially Balinese art, paintings and some statues. Beautiful garden with pond and water lilies. Very rewarding.

I prefer Neka Art Gallery but Puri Lukisan gives a very good, manageable selection of Bali's painting schools. Easy to walk around fairly quickly

In a beautiful setting of pavilions overlooking garden with pond, this museum has paintings and sculptures of very interesting and particular Balinese art.

Unless you have a particular interest in Balinese paintings this is not really the place to go. Although it has beautiful grounds it should really be called an art gallery. There is not much to see apart from paintings and a few wood carvings.
If you have a choice between the Antonio Blanco museum and this one, pick Antonio

If you are in Ubud for a few days it is definitely worth visiting this museum. Beautiful artwork and very nice garden.
Also nice, admission ticket also includes snack and drink in the museum restaurant.

A beautiful gallery of traditional and some contemporary Indonesian painting and sculpture. The different galleries are set in beautiful gardens.
I really enjoyed the amount of information provided about the artists exhibited and the history of Balinese art and artists.

As we were staying at Murni's Houses & Spa it was only a 3 minute walk. Rather historical museum with 3 or 4 pavilions of representative paintings and some wood carvings. All set in a nice garden.

The museum is presenting collections of traditional paintings and a touch of Sukawati family history. It was pretty impressive as many beautiful paintings are there. One thing I notice is that the place is bit groomy. They could have improved maintenance because the ticket price is not that cheap.

No, I don't think so. But you don't need one, it's well laid out and self-explanatory, you can wander round at your own pace.

Hello! We’ve been here for the last 7 days. It is consistently hot (28 to 32 degrees) and humid. We are in Ubud.
It rains at unpredictable intervals for unpredictable amounts of time. So far we’ve only seen a few showers and a couple of sudden downpours. The temperature drops for these. Then the sun is out again and it’s quickly hot. I don’t know if the last 7 days is normal though!
