Gorgeous shop if you love decorative papers, cards and journals. Prices are comparable to Australia.

I spent a log time tracking down this paper shop. I emailed in advance to ask if the shop was still open but didn’t receive a reply. The telephone number listed is incorrect. The number for the shop in Ubud is 085101863338. The address for the shop is actually for the Denpasar shop although it says Ubud on their website.
Location - the shop doesn’t have a number. It is located next to a restaurant called Loca Vore To Go, Dewisita Street which is between Monkey Forest Road and Hanoman Street.
The shop is beautifully fitted out and has a much smaller range of paper than I was expecting. The assistant knew nothing about handmade paper - a training issue, plus very limited English for a tourist venue.
I would say that 50% of the stock was made up of nicely packaged incense sticks....
Altogether a very disappointing experience. Hope they get their act together soon...

Gorgeous, unique and unusual hand made paper products.
Visited here recently and walked away with a bag full of cards and stationary.

I went to Kado by Saraswati Papers in jalan dewisita, Ubud, based on my friend's recommendation, one day before christmas looking for wrapping paper for the christmas presents. It's all recycle paper with a very pattern and colours. All the papers are pretty, I can't help it. Highly recommended.

Kado by Saraswati Papers is a tiny shop filled with every sort of high quality recycled paper products you can imagine- wrapping paper, cards, photo frames, fans, books, journals etc. Several collections catering to all tastes means you will find gifts for everyone. and all purchases donate percentage to a local charity.

Who would write on such pretty paper!?
Lonely Planet led me here, again they were right. It is a gem. Everything is beautiful. So beautiful writing on it makes no sense. So instead of paper I purchased incense.
The cashier was really helpful and felt bad because the client in front of me was painful. The prices are western but our purchases support education!
A great selection with tons of eating and shopping choices nearby!
