I stopped by here, curious about the antiques Bandung has to offer. And with the silent hope of running into something in the atmosphere of ethnography. Well, you won't find any serious antiques or objects from the many Indonesian tribes here. Many curiosities etc. Also nice .. if you are a fan. The traders are in a rather unsavory environment, above an old parking garage.

After the Covid pandemic, the Cikapundung Art & Antique market and its traders are still surviving despite various situations. The Cikapundung Art & Antique Market still exists. Regarding opening hours, the Art & Antique Market has been open since the beginning of the day at 12.00 (not in the morning) although there are also some traders who open in the morning at around 10. Since after the Covid Pandemic, this Antique Market has changed its maximum closing hours to 20.00. night, after that at 21.00, the lights were out. Please come and enjoy the atmosphere of the market which has a nuance of art and antiques, vintage, the past, various photography hobbies, analog cameras, vinyl (vinyl records), toys, old books, musical instruments etc.

We went to the wrong building which we thought was the antique market..we stopped at a mall like building and later came to know that the mall was closed almost a year ago..be sure to specify Pasar Barang Antique Cikapundung to the driver.it’s across the closed down mall, on the 3rd floor of a run down building. There were a few bazaar-like shops that you will pass before reaching the antique market. Ask the shop keepers there for exact location.
I had fun browsing the 3rd floor where they had items that reminded me of my childhood, items from the 70s, 80s and even older than that..
Things here were quite pricey, u have to haggle to get a good price. they had a coin shop which had very old coins collection from the 1800. Other popular items found there were old telephones, radios, tv, table fans, lamps, retro deco and posters, typewriters,clocks, wooden crates, gramophone, vinyl disks, military badges, charcoal iron..ancient tiffins and food vessels and other collectibles..nothing much to do here other than checking things out and be amazed by their collection.

Jika kamu pecinta barang2 jadul, bisa pergi ke sini. Mulai dari rantang jadul sampai lampu ada di sini. Sebagian harga tidak bisa ditawar namun untuk barang2 yang lebih besar seperti sesuatu yang terbuat dari kayu jati, kadang masih bisa dirundingkan harganya.

This place is located near Jl Cikapundung and Jalan Braga. It is in the 3rd floor of Pasar Cikapundung. Here you can find antique stuffs or something look antique. It i s also interesting to visit for a window shopping.

Place lil bit hidden, it's located on third floor in pasar cikapundung. And the antique stuff over here was quite good and the seller were very friendly. It's better to come on weekend and after 12pm too make sure the store are all open.

De Pasar Barang Antik Cikapundung gesitueerd op de derde verdieping in het Cikapundung Elektronic Center is nog niet algemeen bekend. Het wordt zelfs nog nauwelijks gepromoot. En dat verdient deze locatie zeker.
Eenmaal gevonden, vindt de bezoeker er een verrassende mix van aanbod van antiek, curiosa, memorabilia, aardewerk, meubels en kunst in alle kwaliteiten. Het viel me op dat de verkopers eerlijk vertelden als iets imitatie was of dat elektrische apparaten niet meer werkten. Tussen de aangeboden kunst bevond zich ook werk van kunstenaars van naam en aangeboden tegen redelijke prijzen. Wees niet verrast als u van hen hoort dat zij ooit op uitnodiging Europa bezochten. Ook vindt u er een aanbod halfedelstenen die vaak met eenvoudige middelen geslepen worden.
De locatie is overdag druk in gebruik als marktplaats, onder meer voor elektronische apparatuur. Verwacht dus geen brandschoon, state of the art shopping center!
Voor iemand die de Indonesische of Soendanese taal niet spreekt is het aan te bevelen om met een lokale gids naar deze markt te gaan. Alvast succes op uw ontdekkingstocht. Ik kocht er fraai werk van de kunstenaar Agus Ris die er ook een kleine shop heeft. Het siert inmiddels een wand van ons huis. Een mooie herinnering aan Bandung.
