The views are great in samosir, accommodations are nice. The car is comfy enough for 5 person.
Driver Pak Jojo is very punctual, friendly, patient and helpful. Tried his best to introduce us all the location and willing to drive us to all places if we have enough time. Thanks for the tour. Would recommended him to friends and families. 👍

We went to Medan and choose 4D3N package. Before we reached Medan, Ricky informed us that there was no avail hotel slot in Marianna Resort, so we had to change plan. But overall it did not affect our trip because our flight home is at night.
Our driver is Pak Jojo which is very kind and knowledgeable. He managed to accommodate to our request as we are not comfortable with some of the sight locations since we brought our baby together with us. He ensure that we did not missed out beautiful views and will make up on the next day. Plus point he doesn't smoke and he will offer to take photos of us which are great service. I would recommend Pak Jojo for muslim travellers. The choice of meals given to us are wonderful.. Like we are always excited and looking forward to have our lunch and dinner outside.

5d 4n Samosir Island-Berastagi-JW Marriot Package - Agent Ricky, Driver Gindo.
Driver - Driving skills excellent, communication good (fair English/local), punctual. Just need to be more honest on following the checkpoints per the package without offering add on location/service that is useless. AND PLEASE be considerate, I have 2 year old boy, the driver should not smoking too often like at every stops?? Overall, 3/5.
Accommodation - Samosir Village Resort 4.5/5 (Breakfast 3/5), Sinabung Hills 3.5/5 (Breakfast 4/5), JW Marriot 5/5 (Breakfast 10/5).
Agent/Management - According to the package, we supposed to check in at Mikey Holiday Resort in Berastagi but had to check in at Sinabung Hills instead as Mikey Holiday Resort was full and we were not even informed on this changes. This would not happen should the agent make the reservation earlier or at least if really impossible to book, notify us earlier on the changes and compensate us with something better such as upgraded room at the different hotel. We also did not get the extra bed at JW Marriot. When I asked Ricky, he just replied "they (the hotel) don't give" but I have checked with hotel that the reservation made for my room was without extra bed. As the hotel is comfy and nice, so I decided to just let it go and not make big fuss out of it. but yeah, this should be improved. Other than that, bookings and communication for the package is ok. Overall, 3.5/5.
Food - Satisfied with the halal/Muslim friendly location chosen by Driver. But we eat at the same restaurant for 3 times - This can be improve. Overall, 4/5.
Overall, I rate this trip 4/5 as the places visited were all so beautiful. So many things that can be improved and could have been better, so I hope Toba Transporter can make use of the feedbacks given.

Lake Toba is amazingly beautiful. We were taken to so many spots and each stop did not disappoint us with its breathtaking view.
Everything was arranged by Toba Transporter. They did a great job in ensuring that we were well taken care of. Best of all, it was a private tour and we had the flexibility on time spent at each stop.

The 5D4N trip was great for our 4 pax in Toyota Innova. It is beyond our expectations at budget price. Importantly the driver Pak Jojo was great to explain the sites of visit, offering to take photos, helped bargain prices and bringing us to extra places which are not in itinerary, such as the foot of mount Sinabung where fire destroyed villages. Food quality is good considering this budget price. Stayed at 3 hotels, and found that Samosir Villa Resort and Mikie Holiday resort are very good and beautiful. Overall very happy with the experience and trust to customer, because they do not collect any booking fee. We only pay on the final day. Thank you for the wonderful and fuss free experience.

I recently booked a trip to Lake Toba with Toba Transporter and Rickie as my tour agent. Unfortunately, the experience was a nightmare. As agreed he suppose to book for us 2 rooms but when we check into the resort we were given 1 room instead. When I politely asked him if we will get a refund for 1 room and even said the 1 room for 3 of us it's fine for us too. He became hostile and unprofessional and said I'm rude
Instead of resolving the issue amicably, Rickie cancelled my booking for my next destination, leaving us stranded in a remote area with limited accommodation options. His actions caused me significant inconvenience and stress though finally after some arguments he agreed to refund us .
I am writing this review to warn others seeking a reliable tour agent in Medan to avoid Toba Transporter and Rickie at all costs. His unprofessional behavior and lack of accountability are unacceptable. It's essential to prioritize your travel plans and choose a trustworthy agent who values customer satisfaction.

Price is very reasonable. Hotel, Tour & Meal included (for the package I took). Very satisfied. Driver Mr Jojo is very good.

Good value for the package offered. Enjoyed the itinerary which was flexible for our family of 6. Driver was great, patient and accommodating. We enjoyed our trip tremendously

The trip to Lake Toba was amazing! We went during peak season, it was during Chinese New Year and also Pemilu so the traffic heading to Parapat was really bad.
We couldn't even get to take the ferry to Samosir as the queue was long but the guide assigned to us, Pak Jojo took his own initiative to drive us to Samosir using other route. Not only is he a skillful driver, he is also so well versed on all the places we went to in Samosir, Berastagi and Medan.
We will definitely use Toba Transporter service again!
