Beautiful area of Sumatra. The active volcano was cool to see. There is a restaurant there, farm to plate, Gundaling restaurant, excellent. loved the atmosphere, food was great and freshest milk i have had anywhere in my travels.

Nice views of the 2 active volcano mountains of Sibayak and Sinabung. Cool and breezy place with many local food stalls to explore. I engaged a local tourguide named Adam Nainggolan from a local tour company Rafnam Jaya Wisata on a private tour. Highly recommended. I tried the local food and love the Nila Goreng fish and the Mee Rebus from one of the street foodstalls.

지도 상으로 보면 메단에서 그리 멀지 않지만 메단 시내를 지나 브라스따기로 가는 길이 좁은 2차선에 고지대로 올라가는 구불길이라 생각보다 차가 많이 막히고 가는데 시간이 오래걸립니다. 현지 사람들은 더위를 피해 고산지대인 여기로 휴양을 많이 오는듯 합니다. 온천도 있고 주변 화산으로 트레킹도 할 수 있습니다.

Udara cukup sejuk. Ada persewaan kuda untuk keliling taman gundaling. Terdapat pasar yang menjual buah, sayuran dan souvenir. Tempat parkir cukup luas

It's a waste to ignore this beautiful highland called Brastagi, a land which Bataknese live, so many interesting places such as Tongging waterfall, Gundaling, Simalem and many others places in Brastagi. The road should be widen so that every long weekend/public holiday we don't need to get in a terrible heavy traffic jam, it takes 6-8 hours to reach Brastagi, usually normal traffic only 1-1.5 hours.

dataran tinggi Berastagi menjadi tujuan wisata favorit, karena tempatnya yg dingin, dan segar. tempat membawa anak2 naik kuda, liburan, refreshing. dari Berastagi masih bisa ke beberapa tempat wisata lagi. Tempat wisata yg wajib dikunjungi saat berada di Medan

We took a shared van from Parapat, Lake Toba to our hotel in Brastagi. The place was fresh and cool. From our hotel, we could see Mt Sinabung on a clear day. The town area is not very big and you can get fruits at the fruit market. Brastagi reminds me of Cameron Highlands in Malaysia, where life is slow and relaxing. Good place to de-stress.

If u don't mind long journey and appreciate scenery & nature ,then u should go lake toba & brastagi. Enjoy the beauty of lake toba & the unique hotspring at Brastagi. Also kawah putih tinggi raja but be prepared for the long journey as there is no highway there. I would suggest you to grab a tour package which provide transport,hotel food,etc. Self drive is impossible and public transport can be hassle.... The city of Medan also have a lot of interesting places to visit. If you are adventurous type.. Medan is also a place for you...Tangkahan...Air Terjun Dua Warna...etc.... Hope this info is good enough...Enjoy...
